The Avalon Hotel Beverly Hills is a renovated 1950s or 1960s style boutique hotel with a retro, Palm Springs vibe. It offers a cool, old Beverly Hills atmosphere. The hotel, which appears to have been a motel originally, features a pool area decorated with trees. Rooms are decorated nicely, giving a 70s vibe in a good way, with comfortable beds, high-quality linens, and some unique stone furniture and marble tile work. Some rooms are in a separate, quieter building across from the main hotel. Guests should note there can be road and courtyard noise, and footsteps may be heard from rooms above. The staff is consistently described as nice, helpful, friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The hotel restaurant and bar serve food that is delicious, super good, excellent, and far superior to most hotel restaurants, with specific praise for items like fish tacos. Service at the restaurant is noted as friendly and attentive, though bar service can sometimes be inattentive. Amenities include room service ordered via the TV, which is quick. The hotel is considered clean, cute, and affordable for Beverly Hills, though prices are relatively high and there is an added wellness fee. It is a place many guests plan to return to.
Amazing! I stay at a lot of hotels in the area and stumbled across this little historic gem. Service was fantastic which isnt the norm in LA. Lived the history and the 1940/50s feel to the place. Check out the history because its pretty cool. Marilyn Monroe, Lucille Ball, Desi, and more! Room was spacious and beautiful!

Great location, close to an area that has everything. Wonderful and friendly service. Clean rooms and public areas, and the food at the restaurant downstairs is excellent.
