They were a great bank prior to its selling to RBC. Then they got rude, and uncaring and became totally disorganized. They truly don't care about their customers anymore. I was a loyal customer for over 30 years and it became intolerable to endure the treatment they dish out. There are better banks that will welcome customers.many

We have been business customers of City National for a long time. Their customer service is really top-notch. You can always get someone on the phone and they are very helpful and knowledgeable. This has been critical to business especially during the pandemic with all the additional challenges that small businesses have had. They are the perfect balance of a small "local" bank with personalized service but big enough to handle your business needs.

Everything at City National Bank, 400 N. Roxbury in Beverly Hills, is geared to customer comfort. First, there is a Drive-Thru window! How wonderful that is anytime but especially on a cold, rainy day. Next there is a convenient, above-ground parking lot that is easy in and out. Next, there is a doorman to open the door for you from the parking lot into the bank building. Next, the interior banking area is spacious - no worries about social distancing there. Lastly, the employees are friendly, competent, and happy to help you. A+ for City National Bank.

Anna is amazing. She's a new colleague and was able to assist me with my account even without an appointment. Her manager Edith was also helpful and available to speak to me after closing.

Edith has a great sense of customer care to include being on time and fast to solve any and all issues when the rare instances arose. Always pleasant and makes us feel as if were the most important customer the bank had. Five star service!! Thank you Edith! Sincerely, Tom P. CEO and business owner.

City National Bank used to be one of the best banks in Los Angeles. Not anymore. They are hemorrhaging customers at an unpresidented rate. We started out with them in the late 90s when they were the gold standard. Talk about a 'fall from grace'. We left last year and so have many, many others. I have no doubt that they will soon be merging with a more successful bank. It's too bad but this is the result of decades of poor management.

I had/have an excellent experience with Ron S in the mortgage department and Brian B VP in banking at City National. Very professional and precise. Highly recommend.

This place IS THE WORST. All the bad reviews are correct. The staff is terrible, they couldn't care less. Geez, I know this location is in Beverly Hills but man do they treat the average Joe like crap.I really hope corporate cares enough to send in a secret shopper. That way they can get rid of the old bad employees there.

Truly and emphatically an awful, awful bank and this is coming from a Private Banking customer who was with this bank for over 15 years.First, just take your money and bank elsewhere. Ever since RBC bought City National, this place and all branches have gone completely down the drain. I've been fortunate enough to have not only a personal relationship with a VP at this bank, but many business lines of credits, multiple accounts, treasury services, etc. Now, if you're just a regular joe - this bank is going to bend you over backwards and you know...1) They charge ridiculous fees for each account, most banks do not. Paying $40 per accountant per month for some BS maintenance charge is highway robbery. Now 6x this if you have multiple accounts and you see where this is going.2) They offer no interest on anything whatsoever. Try Marcus for at least a tiny 1.70% APY on savings.3) Their web-based tools are so archaic and backwards that they hardly work at all. Their mobile app is pure garbage and nobody cares at all.If you're unlucky enough not to have a personal relationship contact, well, you'll simply never reach anyone to help you.4) Do not do or run your business with this bank. Their lines of credit are garbage, high priced, riddled with invasive clauses and terms and if you are late once, they will pursue you like the end of the world. They don't care not understand anything about business. They will not help your business grow, they will actually try and run your business down to the ground. This is a wretched place to bank personally or for business and you should avoid this place like the plague. They are without a doubt, the worst banking institution on the planet. Sure, Wells Fargo is no Swiss bank but it's better than this toilet.
