Review Title: Unstable, hostile, and completely unprofessional service with Anjela
Complete nightmare. I rarely write reviews, but I’ve never experienced anything like this. I went in expecting a standard service and left with bright orange hair, severe damage, and zero accountability. When I calmly asked for a correction, Anjela became defensive, hostile, and totally unstable.
I’ve been to some of the top salons in LA, New York, and Miami, and I’ve never seen a stylist react like this. No apology, no attempt to fix it—just pure ego and emotional volatility. I don’t know what’s going on with her, but she should not be near clients, especially when chemical services are involved.
She ruined my hair, refused to make it right, and made the entire experience feel toxic and bizarre. If you’re considering booking with her—don’t. It’s not worth the risk. I genuinely regret walking in that day.

This is what $1800 gets you at Jose Eber! Chemical burns, fried orange hair, and unauthorized chemical application. I don't usually write reviews, but I feel obligated to say this was the worst hair appointment I've had in my entire life.
I've been to the top salons -- from Milan to Paris to New York- and never in my life have I encountered anything as incompetent, dishonest, and downright negligent as what l experienced at this so-called high-end salon.
I made it crystal clear to my stylist, Alex, that I was allergic to hair Botox and that I did not authorize any chemical treatment. I told him multiple times - no Botox. He looked me in the eyes and told me it was a Brazilian blowout. He lied.
He applied the very product I told him I was allergic to --and knowingly did so without my consent. That alone should be grounds for legal action. But it didn't stop there.
The color was an absolute disaster. I asked for a cool blonde -- he didn't even use toner. My hair turned orange and brassy, and instead of correcting it like a professional, he tried to sell me CVS shampoo to fix the color he botched.
The blowout? Humiliating. Puffy, unfinished, and completely amateur. He didn't even flat iron the roots. I've had tighter, sleeker blowouts from Drybar on a $50
express menu. I paid $1,800 for this - and left looking like a DIY bleach job.
The damage was so bad that José himself - the salon owner - had to step in and attempt to salvage the mess.
Even he couldn't fix it. That's how far gone it was.
Now, after lying, damaging my hair, putting me at medical risk, and completely failing to deliver on the most basic level of professionalism, they're refusing to issue a refund.
I now have chemical burns on my scalp, fried hair and will have to pay thousands to fix this.
This is not a luxury salon, this place is a liability.

JJ is Fantastic!! He specializes in color & especially reds. I wanted to keep my color natural, but wanted excitement. He gave me so much more - JJ is a real Game Changer! With his attention to detail, and red color expertise, I trust him completely with my hair. I now have so much dimension and complexity. My color is vibrant, dynamic, and so beautiful. Get ready for attention when you leave the salon!

I had an amazing time and experience with my hair stylist! I’m a male and don’t ever come to places like this, but wow is it worth it. I feel like a new man, When you feel good, you look good, and when you look good... you feel amazing! I was recommended by my love, to Timon. If you can get in with her, you won’t regret it. This girl is amazing, she’s been cutting hair for 30 years and has done hair for celebrities of all sorts. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Timon, and thank you José Eber for a great stylist, in a great location, with a great ambiance.

Horrendous customer service when it comes to ordering any product online. No tracking info given or estimated delivery date, but they do charge your card right away. Warranty email does NOT exist/work to get in contact with.
Highly considering reporting them to the FTC and BBB if I don’t receive my product.

I was on set of my new movie and panicked due to our stylist feeling under the weather. I explained my situation and was willing to fit me in that day! I received probably the best style I ever had and had to re-shoot scenes due to the amazing style that I received. I also did a local Pittsburgh commercial for Zombie Killer Coffee and never felt so confident! Thank You!!!

I have been a super satisfied client for 22 years , I have had such an amazing relationship and experience. Beyond belief!!! I have met the most beautiful amazing men and women. This is truly my family to me! I absolutely love José he’s not only incredible he’s one of the most gifted talented soul ! I absolutely love him and Shannon who’s like my sister! Coraline did an outstanding job fixing a couple of major issues on my hair (including gray hair coverage, undesired orange undertones and a disaster haircut I got from another hair salon).Not only she is extremely kind and pleasant to talk to, but she is also very professional and experienced. I could tell I could trust her right away, and she really listened to me and my concerns while providing a professional opinion. She took the time to discuss everything and understood what I wanted right away. She made sure to get exactly the results I was hoping for (which from my experience isn’t always the case). Coraline knows what she’s doing, you cannot go wrong with her!She will definitely be my go to hairdresser from now on and I cannot wait to come back to the salon :-) Thank you Coraline!

Worst experience at a salon I've ever had. My poor colorist was great. (I forget her name but she is a blonde French lady) She seemed to be the only one who was working this day I was scheduled to come in. She was with a customer finishing her hair when they brought me to her. I scheduled 2 weeks in advance & they had not set aside time for me. I waited for 30 min till she finished her customers hair. I was annoyed but we kept going. She put highlights in my hair. Time came to Wash it out and the water would not get hot. I was forced to wash out my highlights in cold freezing water because she could not get it to heat up. I complained and said I cannot deal with cold water on my scalp like this. This water was FREEZING. She said sorry over and over but there really was nothing she could do. This poor lady was trying her best when everyone else failed. I felt bad as she was doing everything in her power to make it better for me. They are understaffed, receptionist is aweful & talks on the phone for way too long. My colorist told me the receptionist often does not schedule people who call in. Not sure what kind of business does this? Is it walk in only? I got my hair cut by this man who was nice. He attempted to really gas up the end result when it was more than lacking. I appreciated his exhausted efforts. (By the time he came to me he was rushed and tired) The cut and color turned out ok but not fantastic. Far from it. My entire process was rushed with all the in between waiting and caring for other customers it still took 6+ hours. Way too long for a simple highlight/cut apt. This wasn't a color correction! I did not get a full hair of highlights! Did not offer me any drink or refreshment due to the rushing. This place is extremely expensive!! People go here for the luxury experience. What I got was so far from that! By the end my eyes were welling up & I was so tired and sick of being there so I paid without complaining. I will never be back. My mother used to take me here as a child to get our hair done in the 90's. Back then it was so luxurious. One time we even got our hair done next to JERRY SEINFELD who used to frequent the place. DOUBT he still does. If you are looking to pay 400$+ for a cut & color to be treated like this then go for it . MY advise is to stay away if you are working class. They have a celeb clientele that they treat way differently. If you are a working class person who doesn't look like they have tons of $ or they cannot recognize you from fame then you will not be given a luxurious experience.

It was my sister who introduced me to Coraline (Coco) at Jose Eber. Being French, we have always had a difficult time finding hairdressers / hairstylists in the US. It goes without saying my hair has had to endure way more than any hair should! I knew my sister had found THE absolute best when she came back with such a gorgeous color and cut! My review would be 100 stars if that was an option. It just goes to show how amazing Coraline's work (art, really) is. She's incredibly talented. You can also always count on Coraline to be transparent about what can be achieved when you describe what you are looking for. I have had blonde hair for more than 15 years, but my natural hair color is brown. Never was I able to find someone who could create a smooth shadow root that would not grow back into a really harsh dividing line: brown on the roots, hard line, blonde. The shadow root or smudge was always disappointing to me, so I'd have to go every other month so it wouldn't look too bad once my hair grew back. Sometimes I'm not exactly sure what shade of blonde I'm going for, except that I want my hair to look more on the icy side these days. It's like Coco knows what I'm thinking every time because I have always come out with a stunning look! Here are a couple of pictures of highlights/balayages she's done on my hair - as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words! The second time I also needed a color correction since I had gone to someone else while I was traveling in Europe, and the results were not what I wanted - the highlights were not even, and the blonde color was more of a gold (orange-ish, even). My jaw dropped when Coco fixed this in just one appointment!! As kind and friendly as she is talented and knowledgeable, Coco provides amazing customer service and great conversation as she transforms your hair! Coraline has become a friend, and she is my go-to person for anything hair-related. When you think about it, if you've always wanted French Hairstylist VIP services, racing to Jose Eber to sit in Coco's chair is more cost effective than booking a flight to Paris, right? ;)

I discovered Coco a few months ago. After Covid I was in desperate need of an excellent stylist. She did a full color correction and cut and I couldn't be more happy! I've been back a second time already and I get so many compliments on how natural and beautiful my hair is now.

Coco was my hair stylist and she is just absolutely wonderful. She helped me brainstorm and the outcome was exactly what I imagined. She takes her time, your comfort is her number one priority, and she is fantastic at her craft. Highly skilled and very kind. I am more than satisfied with my experience!
