I went to this store a few weeks ago to buy a present for the holidays and I felt very uncomfortable they kept following me repeatedly asking me if I needed anything after I kept telling them I am just looking around. I like to shop in peace and I don't like to feel pressured. It was not a fun experience and I wasn't excited to buy anything from them after that experience

The manager must have picked the rudest people off the street of BH to work here. Like many others who reviewed this place, I also had a horrible experience. As I was checking out the sweatshirts near the front, an associate asked if I needed help finding my size. I had SIFTED through the pile (without moving or displacing any of the clothes) to see if they had a larger size, but ultimately decided to get the sweatshirt in my hand. After I responded, the associate responded by saying that it was “incredibly inappropriate of me” to “move the clothes like I did” while gently moving the already undisturbed pile in front of her. I left the sweatshirt because I was honestly shocked an associate would talk to a customer like that, only to be followed and verbally scolded as I left for leaving it there.
The associates also scolded a woman for having her phone out because the store implements a “no photo or video” policy (?). If their goal is to make their customers unwelcome, they’ve done a great job. Don’t give this place your money.

I got harassed today by the older man working retail. Never experienced anything like it. Was actually scary. Steer clear of this store.

The staff was extremely rude. We were not allowed to take pictures, but there was no sign in the store. Even after we stated that we weren't taking pictures, she kept following us, making the shopping experience very uncomfortable. The prices were also very high. It made me feel unworthy of shopping. I was so angry for the first time. Any group with a monthly salary below 20,000 dollars is not the target customer of this store.

Tone deaf merchandise. They actually have Trump memorabilia.

I went to this shop on 27 dec 2024 and expereniced such a rude, pushy, insenstive behaviour from these two ladies in the shop.
I was checking some stuff and reached the cash or payment counter and looking at some stuff there and this lady asked me if I am ready to pay ( lady you have kept stuff there and I was checking it let me check), they only want that people should come pick and immediately pay. Please note that I was not even for 5 minutes in the shop .
The other lady came to me and asked me for the second time if she can help me which I already said to her that - Thanks I do not need her help, when she asked me second time I said you are too pushy to which to my shock to a customer she said - THIS IS HOW IT GONNA BE, I mean seriously what does this mean ??
I felt this behavior from both ladies too demeaning , respectless, insensitive and kind of racist as I am an Asian and may be because I was carrying rainbow socks could be these two ladies are homophobic.
I hope they are not the owners and if the owner of this outlet sees this review, I hope he or she gives some feedback to these ladies who do not know C of CUSTOMER SERVICE.
stuff in the shop was really good and I could have bought more and even after this painful experience I bought which I picked but it really spoilt my mood for the rest of the evening and this experience was too bad

Never again. The staff is very unfriendly. They asked for three times „are you ready to pay?“. And I saw a situation with another client - it looks like racism :-(

The products here are cute, but I had an unexpected experience with a staff member who seemed unhappy about me Googling information on the books sold in the store. I wasn’t trying to take a picture. I had planned to buy a book, but their questioning about what I was doing made me reconsider. While I wouldn’t say I was upset, this kind of interaction is unusual compared to other stores I’ve visited. It seems I might not be the type of customer they prefer, so I’ve decided not to make a purchase.

glad to see i’m among good and plentiful company having had a terrible experience at this store. for the record, i have no problem being asked not to take a picture in a store. you don’t want me to look something up on your website later to buy? fine by me. what i do have a problem with is being treated like an idiot for missing the sign that says no pictures, and then lectured by the incredibly rude older gentleman i can only assume owns and/or manages this store about how “people usually ask before taking a picture.” mmm, sorry not familiar with this apparent social norm of asking permission to take a picture of gisele’s cookbook. maybe this store needs a manager that isn’t horrific to interact with, bc until that happens, i will not be returning and will be telling everyone i know never to shop here. and my rude dude, if you read this, try to remember that you run a tchotchke store, not michelangelo’s studio.

I was in Los Angeles for a weekend and just HAD to shop at kitson. I was greeted by a lovely woman Neil. She was funny sweet and nice. I told her I love buying Christmas gifts online from kitson. Prices are pricey but it's what I expected in Beverly Hills.
Next time I am in Los Angeles I'll be stopping by !!

Overpriced and extremely rude staff. Saw some cute slippers and wanted to buy a pair for my mom. Went to take a picture of two pairs to ask her which she preferred and immediately got yelled at by one of the staff members because apparently there’s a no photos policy. I didn’t see the sign and was off put by the attitude especially when I tried to explain the innocent reason but she was still very rude. I was trying to figure out why they would have the policy and figure it must be because everything in there you can buy online for cheaper. I left after the interaction because I was so off put and I probably will not be going back. Too bad too because I did want to buy my mom the gift.
