8/12/25 Update:
I first came to Sassoon for a blow dry with Sylvia, and she did such an incredible job that I knew I had to come back for a haircut—and I’m so glad I did! Sylvia was absolutely phenomenal, nailing exactly what I had envisioned for my hair. Sanjay also deserves a special mention for the relaxing hair wash and the amazing scalp massage, it was the perfect start to the appointment. The entire team is warm and welcoming, offering tea, water, and more. Parking is easy with nearby Beverly Hills structures or meters. Highly recommend Sassoon for anyone looking for exceptional service and skill!
Original Review:
I truly had one of the best blowouts with Sylvia Lee. She did such an amazing job with such great attention to detail. The wash was also one of the best parts which Yuliia did. They also use the best and most high quality products (which smell amazing too) and overall, it was a lovely experience. It was $85 which is a bit pricer than most but great for special occasions. Highly recommend!!

Acutely beautiful customized hair styling. Precision. Excellence. Personalized. They make things right.
James Zimmerman at the Beverly Hills location is exceptional. He is my hair stylist and performs on a world-class level with styling that I found sets the trend as I traveled to various places around the world.
Diana is a colorist at the Beverly Hills location and is super knowledgeable and super kind. I do not need to color my hair, but my brief interaction with her made it clear that she is the “go-to” person for hair color.
Bali, at the front desk, gave amazing customer service as a first point of contact. Attentive. Fast. Caring.
The Beverly Hills location is constantly clean, nicely modeled, and they always offer a complimentary beverage, which may not last for long. They have a high level of integrity and they always do a professional cut. Beautiful people (inside and out). Then, beautiful cuts.

I get my haircut with Sylvia and she does an excellent job! Really puts in a lot of attention to detail, is willing to listen and work with you to achieve the look you want, and is also good with managing difficult hair textures. The haircuts I get from her grow out nicely and last a long time.

I have been coming for over a year now to get my gorgeous natural highlights with Janet. Loving my healthy nourished hair! This time we even added some low lights which look very natural. And getting many compliments today. Thank you dear Janet!

No, just NO. Look, I grew up in the 80s - Vidal Sassoon was an institution! I went there because I wanted a perfect bob. Instead, I got a RIDICULOUS asymmetrical haircut. I like to give credit where credit is due so I will say that it was a technically proficient asymmetrical monstrosity. The woman did NOT listen to me! I told her that my hair is known for rising up quite a bit once it's dry and I wanted it to be two inches below my chin. What did I get? A Paper Moon haircut that is right at my chin when it was blow-dried. The other side, I can barely talk about as it's halfway up my cheek. I paid $180 to be terrorized and will not be able to fix it for six months as that's how long it will take for the short side to grow to an acceptable length.

I got the best color work done by Janet O. Lowlights and highlights at the same time, and she must have done 100 plus foils on my head. She was so diligent, and it paid off in the texture. The work is just seamless, and it’s better than what I was hoping for. Such amazing skill, talent and taste.

Full disclose: My ex husband is a former advanced Sassoon student and a huge fan of the apprentice program at Sassoon. From my own previous experience at the academy in Santa Monica, I knew that a creative director would be overseeing the process and cross checking the work. Sassoon standards are high so I thought what could go wrong? Unfortunately, a lot did go wrong... My appointment was with an apprentice named Randi. The fee for a full highlight was $70, which is mostly used to absorb the cost of product used. In order to be a model, you had to send in pictures of my current hair color. She asked for no box color and no grey and her ad. (Note: I know for certain that I didn't have box color on my hair because my ex husband had previously done a full balayage with level 10 color in my hair.) I sent her pics of my hair and asked if a full hl would still work as I had a previous full balayage and she said yes. Perfect. My appointment was on March 13th and Randi came out a few min after my appointment time. We discussed my hair goals very briefly and she got started to work. The time seemed to fly exceptionally fast for a full HL. When Shane did my hair it could take 6-8 hours but for Randi, it only took two, with a toner. At the end of my appointment, the creative director came out and cross checked Randi's work and told that she set her hl on my crown too far apart and the ones close to the side of my head too close together. The worst part was when Isla(creative director) tried to convince my that my hair looked like it was out of a box color before and that this was an improvement. When I got home, neither my boyfriend or my best friend noticed a real difference and I felt really disappointed. Today, I went to a 21 year old stylist( an apprentice at ROIL Salon BH) named AJ. He spent 5 hours doing a full highlight on my hair. He painstakingly had to weave through my entire head to find the level six unhighlighted roots so that he could hl them because my hair was so damaged from Randi's work. Randi didn't use any conditioning treatment on my hair even though she had access to them. She didn't offer that in her service fee or suggest it in any way. AJ, on the other hand (apprentice ROIL salon BH,), added those treatments into his service fee and did them because it was in my hairs best interest. All in all it's going to take multiple visits (w AJ) to repair the damage done in just visit with Randi. She also toned my hair to a level much darker than what I wanted and had previously which will create more damage and take more time to fix in the long run. I would really like to be refunded for the visit as this just wasn't right at all.n
