UTA's Artist Space is a very nice gallery space for exhibiting paintings and such. I've been there several times and the production and professionalism is always top tier.

I always enjoy visiting UTA. The space hosts a variety of contemporary artists and exhibits rotate out quickly. Staff is very helpful with questions and willing to discuss the art with visitors. It's a small space with usually 1-2 artists on display at a time. The over all environment is more casual and welcoming than many other major LA galleries.Metered street parking available out front

UTA Artist Space is a hidden gem in the heart of Beverly Hills on a quiet side street across from Mercedes Benz. There is metered parking on the street. I have passed by this venue many times and had no idea what it was. However, the outside display caught my attention recently and I decided to look inside where I found this delightful art venue and a welcoming staff. I love how they transformed the space to complement the work of the current artist on display. The outside looks like a 1970's era dance hall with a Cadillac in front and people dancing in the window and the inside has a large dance floor, stage with people dancing and lights. The artist that is currently on display is Ernie Barnes. The exhibit is running from February 15 to April 1. It is titled "Ernie Barnes Where Music and Soul Live". There are a total of 30 works on display. It won't take a long time to go through all the paintings but these are definitely worth a long look. Some of the pieces have never before been shown publicly. His most famous work "The Sugar Shack" is on display here. I'm not sure if you are allowed to take photos inside so I did not. However, you can find examples of his work online if you look him up or check out the museums IG account @utaartistspace to get an idea of what the exhibit looks like. But remember there's no substitute for seeing artwork in person. I had never heard of this artist before the exhibit even though he is quite famous but now I'm a huge fan. His work is absolutely amazing. It has so much movement and personality and is so joyful. The theme of this exhibit is his representation of music which is apropos because these paintings have rhythm and dance on and off the page. They are musical in their motion. Barnes was a local LA artist as well as a professional football player! What a talented man! Such an honor to be introduced to his work. I really enjoyed this exhibit and would certainly hope to return to this venue for other art shows.

I'm pretty sure everyone that's been here has had an amazing experience. Clearly for me, I loved it. I can't believe I've waited this long to make a trip here. We had an early reservation so luckily, no lines. Having not been here, started off just strolling along the place. Did notice people waiting in line on the first floor but didn't take notice for what. We should of.
