Bear Creek Resort is a nice hotel lodge with wonderful, accommodating cabins. The location is great, near a slide park, hiking trails, shops, a zoo, a brewery, and restaurants. Check-in and check-out are easy, often with early room access, and no key is needed. The cabins are generally very clean with nice rooms, featuring wood paneling, fireplaces, grills, and decks. They have full kitchens, dining areas, and living rooms. However, some guests noted very dirty floors, dusty tubs and sinks, and outdated elements. Beds and pillows were comfortable for some but uncomfortable for others, and cabin furnishings like couches were sometimes reported as very uncomfortable. The staff received mixed reviews. Some found them friendly, superb, accessible, and helpful, while others described them as not very attentive or helpful, slow to reply, and very hands-off. Policies requiring guests to bring their own fireplace supplies, wash their own cups, and take out trash to avoid fees caused confusion and disappointment for some. There is no pool, room service, or daily fresh towels. Overall, it is seen as a perfect place for those on the go who value location and price, but less ideal for those wanting full hotel services or to stay in the room all day. Many guests would return and recommend it.
