I booked and paid in full for a two-night stay a month in advance, but when I arrived to check in, I was told that only the second night was available and that there were no rooms for the first night. This was shocking and unacceptable, especially since I had clear proof of my reservation and payment.
Instead of helping to resolve the issue, the front desk staff repeatedly insisted there were no rooms and told me in a loud and unfriendly manner that I should deal with it myself. The lack of responsibility and hospitality was extremely disappointing.
During this chaotic situation, I expected at least some assistance—or at the very least some quiet—when I tried to call the booking platform in distress. Instead, the two staff members at the desk loudly mocked the situation for nearly 30 minutes, speaking to each other as if enjoying it, even saying things like, “In times like this, you should never help her.” Their behavior made it very hard for me to hear my call and added insult to injury. It was extremely disrespectful, and I felt they assumed I could not understand them because my English was not fluent. The nonstop noisy conversation made me even more overwhelmed and stressed.
Because of this overbooking, I was left outside from 1 PM to 5 PM in the heat with my young child, feeling helpless and frustrated. It completely ruined the first day of our trip and created a very stressful and unpleasant experience.
I cannot recommend this accommodation, and I would strongly warn others to be cautious about booking here.

Our extended family shared the 5 bedroom chalet in July. It had space for everyone but it desperately needs a lot. It was nice to have an enclosed front yard with 2 tables but there was no dedicated grill. Also no dedicated parking spots. We just kind of parked next to the house along the road. The house itself has a good sized living room, dining and kitchen. But the kitchen is very under supplied, no salt or pepper, knives are very dull, and we bought our own kitchen shears. The pots and pans are old and in bad shape but we made do. There is a coffee maker but no filters.
3 bedrooms downstairs, 2 bedrooms upstairs, all good sized. Beds are comfortable and bedding seemed clean.
Downstairs and upstairs have their own air conditioning units but the upstairs does not work well!! It was very hot, even with fans!
2 bathrooms. There is a bathroom upstairs. The entrance to the upstairs seems to be part of a previous separate unit.
The bathroom downstairs is a decent size but the tub floor has a large crack and moves when stepped near. We had to shower around the large crack.
Big perk is included washer and dryer! Bring your own detergent and dryer sheets but it was super helpful to have!
One of the perks was the pool but a week before we were supposed to go, I get an email that it’s closed for 2 weeks. That was a huge bummer with kids looking forward to it.
The property management does not seem to really care about keeping the property up or keeping things stocked. We had to walk (and nearly slip) across mud to get into our house and they would not come clean the pathway. My husband took it upon himself to track down maintenance and bring their supplies to do it himself.
They did build a really nice new hotel and some small cabins closer to the lake so they are putting some money into the property. Hopefully the chalet and older cabins are next to get a desperately needed facelift.

Let me start by saying I am a real person not a bot or bought unlike majority of these reviews.
The best part of our stay was the lake. It was beautiful and the main highlight of our trip, even if it still wasn’t quite what we expected. When we first walked into the room, it looked nice and smelled clean, and the location itself was convenient.
Unfortunately, the rest of our experience quickly went downhill. Within minutes of arriving, our 1 year old’s feet turned completely black from walking barefoot on the floor. In the bathroom, we found pubic hairs on the toilet, dog and human hairs in the tub, and hair scattered across the sink counter. We called housekeeping, but the cleaning was rushed and sloppy, and we had to leave the room while it was done. The housekeeper never apologized, only the front desk did.
The floors were extremely squeaky, so every single step made noise, likely even worse for the people staying below us.
The TV glitched constantly due to Wi-Fi problems, and when we called the front desk about it, they said there was no maintenance available so they couldn’t do anything. Instead of helping, they repeatedly told us to go through Booking.com as if they don’t actually run the hotel. The AC was stuck at 67°F but the room stayed at 74°F the whole time, and the bathroom exhaust fan didn’t work at all.
We had requested a crib through Booking.com before arrival, but when we asked for it, the front desk said they don’t offer cribs at all, which is false advertising. The pool was closed until the end of August, which was never disclosed before booking.
To top it off, there was a power outage during our stay, and there were no emergency lights in the hallways or stairwells, which is a serious safety concern.
It was so inconvenient that we left early and didn’t even stay the full two days. We drove there stressed, slept a few hours, woke up, and checked out in the morning to get away from the situation.
We booked this trip to relax with our family, but instead we spent our time dealing with problems that should never happen in a hotel. Between the misleading amenities, unsafe conditions, poor maintenance, and unsanitary room, this was completely unacceptable.
Avoid this property. The nice smell and appearance when you first walk in do not reflect the reality of staying here.

My room was right next to the lake. The staff are very friendly and there is a recreational area. Unfortunately, I was on the bottom and could hear what was going on upstairs, would come back though.

This place is by far the worst place we’ve ever gone to anywhere and we’ve been to really cheap hotels before there’s so much to complain about the bathroom vent didn’t work. The Wi-Fi kept glitching. The room was very dirty when we came in. My one year-old daughter was walking barefoot when we picked her up it looked like charcoal on her feet. It was disgusting. It was dog hairs in the tub. The housekeeper was sour with zero personality not even an apology from her when we showed it to her in her face and now at four in the morning, the power goes out and it’s still not on, and they did not even warn us about this. This is honestly a place you do not want to relax because you will not relax. You will only get more work funny thing is we tried calling now and no one answers. It says us are busy lol. They need to learn how to run business cause they don’t run it well here. I’m not even mad. I’m just disappointed.

I definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a cozy on the lake experience with modern cabins, family friendly and comfortable smoke free bonfires. Located within walking distance to most restaurants and even a small market. Staff were friendly and helpful when we called.

mice pretty bad and the cabin looks like the “landlord special” the ants are terrible one crum and there’s ants everywhere. It looks like 3-5 hours to even get more towels. Maude serves has been hanging in the door for 3 days and none of the employees even acknowledged it.
