“Long lines but fast checkers, and they're very friendly. I am looking forward to there being more competition up here however!
Update.. more competition came in the form of Grocery Outlet but unfortunately you can't really count on what they're going to carry from week to week, so i end up going to both stores.”

“Nicely curated collection of various and sundry fine food items. The garlic sourdough focaccia bread baked down the hill was an item our group enjoyed for a couple of days. This is a unique market that is worth a stop if you are in the Village, the kind of local business that is worth supporting.”

“A great little place to buy hard to find liquor. The dude at the counter was cool.

Pro tip... if you're looking for non alcoholic options, look at the bottom shelf, shamefully buy it and quietly leave while the real drinker buy a case of beer, tequila, and the ingredients for a pickle back.”

“This is the best of convenience stores by far. They're open 7 days a week, they close at midnight on Friday and Saturday. For the other 5 days they close at 11pm. This store has everything from AAA batteries to zucchini. They've got a good selection of cigars and a good selection of hard liquor too. All the staff are friendly and can tell you exactly where a product is that you want to buy (if they have it in stock) right down to the inch!! This store gets 2 thumbs up from me.”

“Exceptional. The attendant, who I believe to be the owner, was very kind, offering suggestions on how to buy a great bourbon at a very good price.
If you are in Big Bear Lake, I don't think you will find a better price and, if you find something at a better price, you certainly won't find as much friendliness and kindness in the service.”

“What a wonderful place, especially Albert amazing person. He made it extremely quick and enjoyable experience each and every time I went. Well over 50 times thank you Albert hope to see you next time I visit up the mountain.”

“Perfect for getting vacation food supplies you forgot like ice, chocolate, chips, jalapenos, tinned foods and the like. This is not a supermarket and I'm surprised people keep comparing it to one.And if paying a dollar or two extra is required for items so you can support local, save gas and get what you need, that seems like the right price, not overpriced.Yes it could be made a bit tidier and more modern but it's convenience was perfect for our stay in Big Bear.”

“I recently moved to Big Bear and this is my first time shopping at Stater Bros. I am so impressed with the large selection of organic produce and there is a large meat counter with quality meats. The staff has always been friendly and helpful”

“I stopped by to purchase our office pool Lottery tickets instead of buying them at a big corporate supermarket. The cashier was very nice and friendly while she handled my multiple transactions for Super Lotto. The store seems to get their regular local customers as the cashier seemed to know everyone coming in.”
