“Super nice people. I forgot my wallet at the cabin and told them I'd be right back, If I can put my basket down near register. Came back and looked for basket and they put entire basket in cooler to keep my food fresh. Just awesome people.”
“House of Jerky is a really solid jerky brand, and it puts the grocery store options to shame any day of the week. I do want to point out that this is a chain, however, and that the jerky is made in Indiana. On the plus side, chains are successful for a reason - it truly is good jerky! On the other, I recommend checking out the local options in Big Bear as well.I shopped at both, and I purchased jerky from both. I really enjoyed that I could get a nice variety during my stay - it's a highlight of this city that there's such a great selection! House of Jerky in particular has some wild options that are less typical (e.g. camel, alligator, snapping turtle). It's not my cup of tea, but it's objectively interesting, and perhaps a fun gift idea!”
“So I stopped in at the headquarters location instead of this one (it's to the East of town), and I can say the jerky here is absolutely exceptional. I think it's *easily* the best beef jerky in town!I've been a huge fan of jerky my whole life, and I pick up bags of this stuff all over the United States any time I travel. This is right up there with the best of them, and the fact it's local makes it that much more special when visiting Big Bear.Overall, it tasted a lot more fresh and tender than the alternatives you might find elsewhere in The Village. If you're into Jerky, or you're gifting for someone else who's really into Jerky, then I recommend you pick something up here. Personally, I really enjoyed the teriyaki beef jerky. This is what I almost always get, though, so buy whatever is closest to your flavor profile!”
