“They're so kind here! Came into town for a long weekend, but completely spaced on bringing a phone charger. After 2 days I realized I was in trouble, I trekked out early before my cabin mates awoke to pick up a charger and I stopped at 2 smoke shops and 1 gas station before stumbling upon the Community Market. Before I spoke with anyone I was really impressed with their selection of hot food, convenience, groceries and even toiletries items. It was warm and bright as well, which is very inviting at 27*F outside! The store owner, or front desk clerk I'm unsure, was very kind to me and had a bunch of Apple chargers- jackpot! The price was also very reasonable at about $9.97 for the cord alone, where other stores in the area were charging $12.99 and up. I will definitely stop into this store if I'm in the area again this season. Thank you Community Market!”
“Located on Pine Knot Avenue is House of Jerky. It is a small shop that has an interesting variety of meats to choose from. I saw everything from beef, turkey, salmon, wild boar, lamb, elk, venison, buffalo, alligator, ostrich, python, snapping turtle, and camel! There's probably more that I can't remember, but those were the main ones I can recall. My partner and I really wanted to try the ostrich, so that's all we got. It tasted similar to a peppered beef but just a little tough. Prices reasonable but some items are priced a little higher than expected. Still intrigued by the variety of meats, BUT I personally didn't see any jerky that was made locally. The ostrich was imported from Indiana. The jerky was still good, though, but I would have loved if "House Of Jerky" had at least some of their jerky made in-house.”
“This jerkey is so good ! Its sold throughout Big Bear in shops here and there. They have so many flavors I can't list them all but my favorite is SWEET AND SPICY ...Once you try it there is no comparison !”
