“The people at vons are really great! My understanding is that the store is severely understaffed, and yet I always get a nice person at checkout. I'm sorry that the staff have to deal with so many rude people, notably flatlanders. I also really appreciate the Drive and Go service. It's disappointing that staff are no longer able to accept gift cards or tips for pickup orders because they always do a great job, whether in the hot sun, snow, or rain! Also, the baristas at the Starbucks are fantastic. The one guy who works there made me a drink even when he was supposed to be closing up. Lastly, for the person who complained that an order was placed a week prior and half the items were not in stock-- let's be real, when you tourists flood the mountain, do not expect to get your entire order. It's called supply/demand. You get an email of your final order and can see what items you didn't get, so you can prepare ahead and go somewhere else. With what's happening in the world it is unreasonable to expect to get everything in an order nowadays. The staff won't pull your items a week before you arrive and hold them for you. Perhaps shopping down below is a better solution for both you and the locals.”
