“They sell Seattle chocolate. The only reason we go to this store is when we visit Big Bear. Although I must say, they have good-smelling products like lotion, candles, and other stuff.”
“THIS is the place I remember from my childhood (2007ish), all the other shops I feel like are new but this one in particular looks as I remember it. I love the variety with every room having a little something different. Wish all the other shops were as unique as this one.”
“So I stopped in at the headquarters location instead of this one (it's to the East of town), and I can say the jerky here is absolutely exceptional. I think it's *easily* the best beef jerky in town!I've been a huge fan of jerky my whole life, and I pick up bags of this stuff all over the United States any time I travel. This is right up there with the best of them, and the fact it's local makes it that much more special when visiting Big Bear.Overall, it tasted a lot more fresh and tender than the alternatives you might find elsewhere in The Village. If you're into Jerky, or you're gifting for someone else who's really into Jerky, then I recommend you pick something up here. Personally, I really enjoyed the teriyaki beef jerky. This is what I almost always get, though, so buy whatever is closest to your flavor profile!”
“The Village Nut House in Big Bear is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, the aroma of fresh nuts, candy, and gourmet treats is irresistible. Their selection is incredible—everything from flavored nuts and chocolate-covered goodies to unique snacks you can’t find anywhere else.
The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to help you find the perfect treat or gift. I especially loved their candied pecans and honey-roasted almonds—they were fresh and full of flavor.
The shop has a cozy, welcoming vibe that fits perfectly with the charm of Big Bear. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back for more treats next time I’m in town!”
“It's like a Spencer's Gifts (are they still around?) except with far higher quality items and more fun too. We planned to walk right by but a shirt in the window caught my eye. An hour later I think we saw only half of what they sell and I left with bag on hand.If you're strolling around the village, be sure to stroll right in their door. Great fun.”
“Amazing store and prices.

“Walked in to buy some souvenirs, found some very cool shot glasses and magnets and necklaces ??. Emplyee was friendly and good customer service providing info about the meaning to the necklaces I purchased.”
“Absolutely incredible beef jerky! I always make it a habit to grab local jerky in the places I visit, and Big Bear did NOT disappoint. Unlike the other shop I stopped at in town, this jerky is locally crafted in Big Bear.
So far I've tried their teriyaki beef jerky, and both the flavor and texture were exceptional. The real highlight to me was just how tender the jerky was. It's absolutely packed with flavor, so you can enjoy little pieces at a time. If you compare this to the stuff you typically see in grocery stores, it's night and day.
I highly recommend people check this place out - it was really great to quickly chat with the person behind the counter as well! They helped guide me to some great options. I can't wait to try the other flavor I purchased next!”
