The staff is incredibly accommodating, attentive, friendly, and helpful, ensuring every detail is right. Guests are always charmed by the venue’s unique beauty and the serene soundtrack of rustling leaves and a nearby creek. As a bookstore, it is a cool place, almost like a literary gift shop for Big Sur's alternative and Beat scene, with an astounding selection of titles of profundity, including Henry Miller’s works. It is a pet-friendly space with clean, public restrooms. The library also hosts live music on select nights. This absolute gem is a beautiful, unique, and serene haven that forever holds a cherished spot in the hearts of those who visit.
A magical place. Beautiful surroundings, peaceful calm, an eclectic, carefully-selected treasure trove of books, tea, and friendly people. A gem of an institution. My soul feels restored after every visit.

A very cute fun place to stop to relax and purchase a book! The person working had cute old friendly dogs who came up and politely said hello. Made us miss our dog! So cute.
