My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Treebones resort. It was the perfect place to unplug from the hectic city life. We booked two nights in the Autonomous tent, and got the Norte. The tent was cleaned, and spacious. The king size bed, and private bathroom were awesome. The view from our tent was beautiful.

It think it was one of the most beautiful and memorable trip for me
Rooms: We stayed in the largest tents with en-suite bathrooms.
Beautiful gorgeous rooms for such a remote locations.
Safety: Being in a remote tent did not faze me, it was so safe everywhere
Walkability: The walkability factor is also very sound
It’s not a place for people who have problems with walking
Food and drinks: The food was very good but didn’t have too many options for people with special food needs
Noteworthy details: The views were out of this world.
It was the most serene view and space I have ever seen.

Sincerely wonderful staff in a stunning location with good food. I would come back for my next honeymoon... or divorce for that matter. Perhaps both.
Very good advice on local trails and happenings from the beautiful soul at the front desk who's name I don't 100% reacall... Danielle?

I am very disappointed with my recent stay at your resort. The staff’s attitude was unprofessional and rude, and the service was far from satisfactory. Both the lunch and dinner were of poor quality, and the resort’s cleanliness left much to be desired.
Rooms: Room service isn't so good

Treebones Resort, is without a doubt the most unique location I have ever stayed.
My fiancée and I knew from the moment we saw one of the yurts poking out from beyond the hills when driving up route 1 that this was going to be a special stay. From minute one, you're made to feel welcome, from the complimentary glass of wine on arrival, to the ground staff driving your luggage right up to your yurt.
The yurts themselves are spacious, cosy and secluded. Not forgetting the very comfortable bed. It's a glamping resort so amenities like shower and toilet are a short walk away, but I'm pleased to report that they were clean, functional and regularly maintained. Yurts also are equipped with a heater to keep you warm at night.
We had arrived at Treebones after a long drive so the on-site heated pool and hot tub were the perfect way to loosen up before dinner. Speaking of dinner... for such a remote location we were absolutely stunned by the quality of food on offer. Not the cheapest mind, but it's definitely fine dining and great dinner service. I was sorry to not try the sushi during our stay, but it looked great! Breakfast is also complimentary for guests, and offers a variety of healthy options to start your day.
Treebones' strongest asset though, is its views & location. One can sit at the bar outside the main lodge for hours just taking in the coastal views with a glass of wine in hand. It's very clear that a lot of effort has gone into this place in order to make the guest experience as special as possible.
Evenings in remote Big Sur, can definitely cool down fast, so the fire pit by the main stage on the hill was the perfect chill zone before heading to dinner. It was also where my fiancée and I got engaged, so I will never forget it!
All in all, our time at Treebones was faultless. The staff were so kind and friendly, yurts were cosy, food was fantastic, and the views were unbeatable. For sure the most luxury glamping experience we've ever experienced.
5/5.

What can I say, Treebones is top-notch. We rustic campus at of 5 rustic sites. Absolutely beautiful. We were close to bathrooms and to the main lode, yet we felt totally secluded. The daily free breakfast was limited, but very tasty, including my new favorite, chia pudding. The lunch menu was delicious as well. Dinner was worthy of James Beard. The 5 course is the way to go, and they don't mind if you split it. Sushi is reservation only, as there are only 8 seats per turn, so make sure you have them. They also have plenty of yurts, "nests," as well as tiny houses to stay in, too, if you're above camping.

Our yurt was delightfully comfy with a huge soft bed, sink, table and reading chairs. The staff people we met were accommodating and kind. We chose to picnic in our yurt rather than eat in the restaurant. We had eaten there once before and felt we could enjoy our view and our own food and save the $200+ that dinner would have cost us. Breakfast was good. Frittata, yogurt, fruit and toast.
For travelers wondering, yes you do have to use communal toilets and showers unless you are in the autonomous rooms which are almost $1000 a night. This makes for interesting nighttime forays in the dark. If you have to get up several times at night for this purpose you won’t enjoy staying here. There are no TVs and no wifi in the rooms- just in the lodge. Which was fine with us! Others may struggle since there was no cell signal either. That said, the pool (salt water) and hot tub were beautifully warm with lovely views of the coast. If you want peace and solitude, a day to read and snuggle, proximity to excellent hiking and a sometimes hair raising drive up one of the last remaining wild coastlines in California, you won’t be sorry. For us, it was spendy. Not sure we would return given our more limited budget for travel.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Treebones resort for our 4th year anniversary. This was our first visit to treebones after wanting to visit for years. It was the perfect place to unplug, reset and connect with the nature. We booked 2 nights and stayed at Yurt #3 that has no view unfortunately (I recommend to book Yurt #10 to enjoy the sunset and sea view).
The views are incredible, even when it’s foggy it’s absolutely stunning. The staff is extremely kind, friendly and welcoming. We had dinner one night in the main restaurant, everything was tasty except (for us) the fried chicken and chocolate torte.
Even if it is a remote area, the food price is very high (such as 56$ for 12 oysters…). We also recommend to improve the salty breakfast options.

We would come back for 2 nights at any time. Arrival from LA and San Francisco is easily possible. A special experience to spend the night in exclusive yurts. The employees were sometimes a bit rude back then, but the food was very good. A unique experience. It's best to book well in advance.

Awesome off-the-grid yurting experience in the heart of Big Sur. Spectacular views and access to hiking and beaching. Great amenities like pool and hot tub. Excellent food options. A must visit!

What a breath of fresh air! The experience here is worth every penny, it is divine and relaxing and delicious!! We’ve stayed in the yurts several times and just returned from a couple days in the treehouse. Such a special place! The views are incredible, even when it’s foggy it’s absolutely stunning. The people here are so welcoming and kind, sharing the magic of Big Sur with us travelers. Morning yoga was a really nice treat to start the day off and the pool was perfect for the afternoon! Our room was so quiet and serene, the bathrooms were always clean, and the food was outstanding. We had dinner one night in the main restaurant, the crudo was super and our dinners (mushroom pizza and black cod) were amazing!! The sushi experience was incredible, we’ve done it a couple times in the past and it’s always so memorable!!

Amazing place to experience! We stayed in the AUTONOMOUS TENT and it was beautiful! Ear to ear Ocean Views! You can watch the sunset over the ocean from bed with a fire burning in the background or enjoy it from the comfort of the deck with an outdoor fire pit! All the amenities you need: fridge, expresso machine, hot showers, comfortable sitting areas inside and outside in your own private area of the resort! Also the pool and spa with epic views! The dunning experience was phenomenal! The grounds are peaceful and quiet, completely immersed in the tranquility of Big Surs natural environment and fauna! Completely recommended!

Wow, this place is breathtaking. We camped, so unable to comment on the yurts, but the resort itself was fantastic with so many different amenities. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and looked after. The food on offer was good, and we enjoyed our four course pre fixe meal. What a perfect place to relax.
