Best place to stay in Bishop. Often booked so get a reservation early. Within a short walk of downtown and Schatts Bakery.

Great place to stay in Bishop. Next door to Schat's Bakery and short walk to good dining.

Careful of their reservations policy. I've been going there for years! Made a reservation and canceled a week in advance. Expected full refund. Come to find out they booked me on some prepaid reservation that has no refund policy. Won't be returning!

Rooms are nice but dark and very dated decor. Primarily the staff was not very helpful and when we arrived early they told us they could have our rooms ready in an hour while we waited in the lobby. It took three hours to give us our rooms while other people were able to check in. They said rooms are preassigned and they can't change them based on when you arrive. Not a smart policy. One star because of poor service, internet that was barely fast enough to load emails, no digital television, analog cable TV running on modern wide screen TVs that only show standard (low) def content in 4:3 stretched out to 16:9 (who does this in 2024?).There's potential here and these are minor problems that are easily solved. It always amazes me how small businesses can get it so wrong trying to save a few pennies when it's really not that difficult to do it right.

Love staying here when I come up. Very peaceful to sit by the creek in the evenings, or the fireplace

Rooms are clean. Less expensive than Mammoth. Great spot to call home base if you spend the day at Mammoth.

Excellent property! The one-night stay I had was exceptional. The room was super clean and cozy, the staff were attentive and warm, and the complimentary breakfast was plentiful with good variety. I'd love to go back.

A delightful hotel. Caveat that I did book a room that explicitly said it sleeps 3 on the website but it only had 1 bed (no sofa), and they don't have cots. So if you have 3 people, book a room that sleeps 4 unless you plan on sleeping 3 to a bed. Everything else was great.

Be careful staying here. Not only will the room cost you over $200, you will get charged an extra $50 for room fees and taxes when you check out. Not worth it! Never will I ever stay here again. A sneaky little trick.Walkability: Nice restaurants

Front office staff tonight was unprofessional and unfriendly. Will not recommend this place at all.

LOVE THIS PLACE! We were only here for one night while on a travel vacation. But, man am I glad we stayed here. This is a very nice 'lodge-like' inn with a creek running alongside (well managed creek that is). Substantial dark woods inside and out which fits the environment and adds to the mountain atmosphere. Big lobby lounge greets you with a fireplace and big comfy furniture to enjoy the fire. The front desk check in was fast, friendly and easy. Parking is free. Our room on the second floor, overlooking the creek, was large, solid and really well decorated, again in dark woods and nice furniture. I liked the bathroom which had two sinks, one in the front part of the bathroom by the closet, and one inside the 'bath area' with the toilet and a good sized shower. The complimentary breakfast is much more than a 'continental' breakfast, which included all the good stuff.... eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, cereals, oatmeal... you name it. And it was all good, as in freshly made for us. I highly recommend staying here if you are traveling and in the area. Or, come for a vacation. Not far from the ski resorts or other outdoor activities. Oh, and they just happen to be right next door to the Schaat's famous bakery!!!

Best ambiance of any hotel I have been at. The creek runs thru the property and it is awesome to enjoy it with the fire pits. Breakfast has homemade blueberry muffins that are off the chart good!
