For about the same price as Motel 6, you get a much cleaner room and a much more hospitable experience. Another plus is it's next door to Schat's Bakery. Get a sammich to go and enjoy it at Eastside's communal kitchen/lounge.

This place is a total gem in Bishop. Located off the Main Street behind the bakery. They have a community room with kitchenette. Perfect, it has utensils, plates bowls etc. also a refrig and microwave. They have tea and coffee available. The rooms are modern and cozy. They even provide you a sleep mask, ear plugs and a couple bottles of water. There is an outdoor fire pit and BBQ for use. Inside the community room there is a central gas fireplace. For the price best place to stay in Bishop. We did cycling right from the room to the Sierra foothills. Great location. Nice room. Quiet too!

Stayed 3 nights in October. Clean and comfortable, an excellent value. Basic rooms with nice shared kitchen / community room and well kept up decks and parklike setting. Picnic tables, grill, friendly staff- would definitely stay here again when in the area.

Driving up from LA during the atmospheric River largest storm in 40 years I got stuck in Bishop when they closed 395 North going to Mammoth on Sunday evening. I called Eastside guest House and spoke with Tiffany who was very friendly. She initially booked me for a king room but someone else booked it online first so she upgraded me to a treasure room with King and two bunk beds. It was a very nice room, super clean. The bunk beds mattresses are a little soft for me but the king mattress was super hard and firm which I liked. All mattresses feel like quality memory foam. It is next to main Street and they provide plenty of ear plugs to help you sleep. There is a nice community room with excellent coffee and kitchen set up. The stove is not working so they have a microwave. There is a super sweet and friendly cat that came to say hello and even slept on another guest's lap on the sofa. It feels very cozy here and I would definitely recommend it and stay here again. Definitely worth paying a few extra dollars for the comfort. I love their window roller shades, very effective!Rooms: Very clean and cozy and modern

Stayed here twice while hiking the PCT last summer. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is right in town, but still very quiet. It is well presented and very comfortable. There's off street parking very close to the rooms and reception. The kitchen area has everything you need to be self-sufficient, but if cooking isn't what you want, the town has plenty of options. My group of six loved it here so much that we stayed again a week later. Highly recommended.

I mean there's only so much one can say about Bishop. It's a strip of businesses, rather bland, surrounded by gorgeous snow topped mountains. It's unique by its own right. So these rooms are very modern and well maintained and the common room is very nice because there's a microwave and fridge and you can cook and stuff if that's what you're into. And there's a kitty. Ok this is not trivial information

It is a great cute guesthouse in bishop. Very clean, quiet, staffs are nice, parking is great and safe, and I love the community area with kitchen and sofas. This place definitely stands out amongst other motels that are mostly 2 star and old. I would definitely be here again if i have to stay in bishop in the future. One downside is the mattress - it is very thin and hard even the ones in the private room.

My husband and I had our wedding weekend, ceremony, and lunch at Eastside Guesthouse. We have stayed here few times before, and it was a no brainer that this is where we wanted to host our wedding because it's beautiful, communal, and intimate. Eastside Guesthouse allowed us to move around tables and chairs on the property to our liking for the ceremony. The staff were accommodating and friendly (shout out to Lucy the Bivy Cat for the warm welcomes). Our guests rented out the entire property giving them their own private room to rest and the communal spaces to socialize together over the weekend. The owner also gave us local recommendations for food vendors, additional furniture rentals, and more (we used The House of Rummage for low tables, sitting pillows, and drinking goblets). The entire space is beautiful, spacious, and intimate. It's truly a hidden gem.

I really like the shared kitchen/dining area. The bunk rooms would be awesome with 6 friends. The bathroom was updated and nice. Large shower. Fun and comfortable place, I'll be back.

These rooms are for sleeping, not entertainment. If you need a clean and very nice place to sleep through the night in a very nice part of bishop, this is it. This is the perfect spot for hikers or those just coming through for the night. You can also rent out rooms for multiple days if needed. There is a communal kitchen for everyone to use. It's kind of cool, I think. And the staff is so friendly and helpful. I was impressed by this gem in the middle of town.Walkability: Your smack in the middle of town, and there are so many different restaurants and stores not to mention activities you can do in and around the guest house that it offers plenty of options.

Love this place, super comfortable beds, good parking, quiet, and right next to an amazing bakery. I really like the shared kitchen space and outdoor hangout spaces. I will definitely be staying here again!
