Good sandwiches on well made bread. Long self-help lines. Frenetic experience. Food good.

Absolutely love Schat’s bakery, and so I expected their wine to be excellent. Truth is, this Malbec is the absolute worst wine I have ever tasted. The wine store is closing. No wonder. I gave one star because at least the glass bootle can at least be reused by my vintner daughter. I dumped out the whole case after one taste.

Surreal to find an authentic Dutch bakery up in the high dessert near Mammoth Mountain - with impressive range of baked goods, fresh sandwiches & soups! Will always plan to call in on any trips up the 395!

I want to say nice things about this shop because we always stop by after getting some bread next door and I've been inside before and it's alright. We were in the area last week and noticed they have bright signs up all around outside saying they are doing a sale with most items up to 50% off. We tried stopping in and noticed the door was locked and a woman was inside at the register doing something. Checked their hours on Yelp and it said open and no mention about closed during a certain time for lunch or anything. The woman inside saw us and ignored us. So after waiting and trying to kill some time to see if she would open back up we gave up and left. When leaving and waiting at the light to turn we noticed more people trying to go inside and found the door locked. Think the lady eventually put a small post it note up saying something, not sure what, but wish they had a sign up sooner so we wouldn't have wasted so much time. We delayed on purpose waiting for them to open the door and ended up missing our rental car drop off by 15 minutes and charged an additional day. Not sure what's going on here and was looking forward to doing some shopping, but guess not.

While traveling to Tahoe made a pit stop in Bishop. This was a wonderful little find - the trips goal was to find all the Local Beers and give them a try. While this place is Wine heaven they did carry a variety of Local Brews. What made this place that much better was their wide range of cheese and meats selection. Everything tasted great and really complimented the Bread we picked up next door. Seriously nice little place to take a pit stop - especially if you are looking for something a little more refined...

Owner is a jackass. He threw out his own daughter and they were business partners. He's nasty and crude to everyone he meets. RUN !

I walked in and there were two workers (an older woman and a younger woman) and myself. No one greeted me, and the whole time I was in the shop, neither of them said a word to me. There were some dishes and bowls I may have purchased, but I was disgusted by the fact they totally ignored me. I'll spend my money elsewhere.

Like dealing with people on HUSH HUSH SWEET Charlotte, nothing like Woman for Wine Sense or Julia Child. Don't waste your time! Won't go there again!

This wine shop holds up to many of the wine shops that are actually in wine country. They have a wide variety of wines (including their own that are grown at an elevation of 6000 feet) from various different appellations that will satisfy any taste and budget. I was pleasantly surprised to see many favorites from the Santa Ynez Valley that don't see very wide distribution outside of the area. The next time I visit Bishop, I'll come here to pick up a bottle or two to enjoy next to the creek.

Wine and cheese and meats and goodies for any occasion. This little shop has what you need for a good time. The place is next to a bakery so the area is pretty pack with cars. But coming through Bishop on the 395 this little gem is a must to see. I am sure you won't be disappointed.

Great selection of wines, beers, meats and cheeses. The Dutch Gouda was terrific. A little on the expensive side for sure but, you get what you pay for.
