Great prices, excellent customer service, always a bit of treasure hunt. At the end of a long day I got to the checkout and realized I had lost my wallet and couldn’t pay for my groceries - owner insisted I take them at no charge, I could have cried with relief! Came back a few days later and had to force him to take cash to pay for my order. Thanks grocery outlet!!

This mountain charcuterie breakfast costs less than $2 thanks to Grocery Outlet. This is my new favorite grocery store. We are travelers and now search if any Grocery Outlets are on our route. There are basics you can rely on them having but also they have specials you will never see again. We love trying new things at a great cost. The extra clearance deals are marked with a bigger sign.I'm someone who believes expiration and best buy dates are suggestions so I don't mind buying things that say eat them this week.I hope this helps you fight the grocery inflation. Make this your first grocery stop if you have one near you.P.S. The employees at this location in Bishop are super friendly and caring.

I would give five stars for the quality and the bargains of the items. However, the system for checking out is ludicrous! A tiny sign (which blends with other merchandise on sale), says “wait here”. As I was looking for an open cash register, with absolutely no one in front of me I was disciplined that I did not “wait at the sign”.The sign instructing, where to “wait” must be made easily VISIBLE. This is just common sense.

This establishment is a favorite of mine. The oddities it carries, the cleanliness, the prices. All worth taking a look. I tend to spend A LOT of time on the first aisle, it's too fun. Don't buy something, like it, go back for more, they may not have it anymore. I enjoy trying out the inexpensive wines, more times than not, they're good. (Unless you're picky) There have been many times I've found a good quality item way cheaper than normal because the label is foreign, or the color is different. You can't shop here with expectations, just hope and patience, it's worth it.

What is the deal with the checkout procedure?? Confusing as heck!! I was told harshly by an employee that there was a sign "telling" me where to wait. All I was noticing was a lot of small signs regarding the displays for sale items. Come on Grocery Outlet get your act together and make it CLEAR so people understand how to check out!

Months of low stock, empty shelves, and not having the staples. The one in Mammoth is always fully stocked but the line to check out is always very long.

This is one of the best, if not the best, grocery outlet location.i drive hwy 395 and have been stopping in 4 or 5 times a year. It's an impeccably curated store by a staff who are on point consistently. type "A" over achievers but genuine and hip. Excellent selection and prices are low even amongst their sister stores.

There are many hardworking people here but unfortunately there is also the manager Louis, who is disrespectful to customers and also the company itself. I started shiopping here recently, spending over $600 in the last month. I was told by two different, very friendly managers that I could return something if I didn't like it or it was bad. Now enter disgruntle Louis, I returned 20-25$ worth of items that were bad and moldy. No apology from him but instead telling me I need to make sure to check the dates on items. I then showed him the dates on the items and how they were set to expire one month from now. He said nothing. I was so annoyed by his childish behavior that I called to get his name. He said, oh you're the one that keeps returning items. Again, childish, moronic and myopic as he is not understanding the dynamic of his company which the other two managers of course did. Also, alienating customers doesn't serve anyone especially the company that is paying this person. When I told him I was filing a complaint he encouraged me to. Again, this cocky, childish behavior is not what managers are made of. Best to go to grocery outlet in mammoth until this person is gone.

This has to be my favorite grocery store ever. It's inexpensive and a great way to use up stuff that might expire soon since some of their items are close to expiring. The snack selection is awesome! It's like Trader Joe's but way less expensive. The produce is pretty dang good, too! I like variety when I shop but if we had one in Montana, it might be the only place I shop, ha!

The signs are never correct and as the months go on it’s gotten much worse. I love the deals but wondering how much everything is has gotten pretty annoying over time.Check the signs before you go to the register.

There was a fairly major snow event so it may have impacted stock. The selection of produce was terrible and what little they had was often rotten. The staff was friendly and the store was clean. Prices were good.
