Clean and nice kinda pricey

Bought some turkey sausage here on 11/14 and fed it to my family this morning. When I put the turkey sausage back in the fridge, I noticed it had expired on 11/7. Why are they selling meat that expired a week ago? I am completely disgusted. I am now hoping that none of us get sick. Additionally, the advertised prices don’t always match what gets rung up at the register. I’ll be shopping at Grocery Outlet from now on.
*Edited to add—-WHAT? Vons replied that they are “thrilled I had a great customer service experience?” Goes to show how much customer service is actually paying attention at this store and reinforces my ONE STAR review!

Place is to expensive. One block away is Grocery Outlet. It's a lot cheaper and they may not have all the variety and choices but they have everything you need to survive out in the bush or camping out.

Products are always stocked and the store is always clean. The prices are high for my liking but their sales are great. Obviously not all employees are going to have customer service skills but the ones who do are always very helpful.

I find it amusing that I had to bag my own (very substantial - 6-week supply) groceries AND was charged extra for a few additional bags because I didn't bring enough of my own.

I just wanted to give a shoutout to the $5.99 breakfast burrito served by the nice lady at the deli counter. Generously proportioned and yummy.

Shelves are always picked over and empty, lines are horrendous. Never more than two lanes open, lines are down the aisles to the opposite end. Bathrooms are also impressively unmaintained.

Customer service was terrible. Ordered a sandwich from their counter and the woman was too busy talking with friends. When it came time to check out, only 2 registers were open and the lines were at least 50 feet long.

The first is on Catalina Island and the second is in Mammoth Lakes.

Prices are so high. I can expect 50 to even 100 percent more since it's a remote location but some of the stuff was 600-700 percent more than other places. This is UNETHICAL!
