Have been staying here a couple times a year for years and it has gone from barely exceptable to beds so uncomfortable we could not sleep on them and got up in the morning in total pain. Owner/ manager has always been very helpful and kind, but when we said we could not stay any more he was not so nice. Charged us for the following night because it was “after the deadline for cancelling”. Will never stay here again.

Although the USA Interstate highway system has provided amazing services to travelers it is also so incredibly sad how it has sucked the finances and economic structures out of small towns it has forced us to by-pass on our journeys.Blythe is one of these towns and this RED ROOF INN has certainly seen better days.I travel mostly east of the Mississippi and RED ROOF INNS have gone through a lot of rebranding and investment for their clients there. Sadly, this particular franchise has been ridden hard in the desert and put away wet.The curb appeal is considerably lacking, as it is for most of the other budget motel chains in this town. But being received in a RECEPTION area which has an overpowering food smell is not an expected or welcoming sign. The room (Rm.131), although clean, has re-purposed well-used old furniture and finishings which are just plain tacky. On the POSITIVE side, the mattress is comfortable and the HVAC wall unit was remarkably quiet. HOWEVER....there was a weird and annoying sound coming from the walls by the bathroom ALL NIGHT which sounded like a washing machine. If you need to stop for the night this is definitely a budget-level motel which does not live up to my usual experiences with the RED ROOF franchise.Noteworthy details: Read my review...............

The man at the front desk when we came in was rude and got upset that I wanted to check the beds for bugs and to make sure they were clean before paying, just based on other reviews they usually are not. Not professional at all.

Thank you very much for being open. It was a long day, and I needed some sleep and some rest. Your service was wonderful, I only stayed one night, and I look forward to staying again soon. The room was clean, and the bed was not too soft nor too hard. Breakfast the next morning for me was just some orange juice, but I appreciate it.

What a dump. Do not ever stay here. Just look at the pics. Run down, lack of maintenance or even lack of care. Pool not even filled with water. I expect quality service/facility even if it is an older motel. Extremely disappointed is an understatement.

I'm not sure it could have been worse. Arriving at 10 pm to check in. We noticed that the parking lot only had maybe 6 cars parked for the night. Sweet, we thought lots of rooms available. The room was on the far end of the complex in direct view of the office. Nobody on that row of 20 rooms. Great no noise, far away from any other occupied rooms, looking forward to a good nights sleep. Around midnight I hear people talking in the next room (paper thin walls). I check out the parking lot and bigger than poop, there's a car parked next to ours. No other spots were being used. Leaving the next day there wasn't any other rooms being occupied other than the room next to ours in a row of 20 rooms. REALLY Red Roof Inn you couldn't have put 1 room between occupants in an empty building??? The room was musty smelly like it hadn't been used in a while. I was just looking for a bed and a nights sleep not looking for a resort like accommodations. A quick shower to wake up and there's no shampoo, conditioner, or body wash....empty squeeze bottles in the shower caddy. Hoping for a bar soap... not to be. Breakfast was a joke. Couldn't wait to leave. Won't come back; I'll sleep in my car before setting foot back in this place. Guy's save yourself a lot of disappointment and a crappy night's sleep. Avoid this place like the plague. I am!

Reserved a room online at midnight, and arrived at 1:30am, 96°. I was in&out of the office with my key in 5 minutes. Night clerk was tired but professional. The room greeted me with a wave of cool air. Beds are firm, rustic, but clean. Working TV & remote w/basic cable. Also functional microwave, mini fridge, iron & board, in-room coffee, table & chairs.Other reviewers may have expected the Waldorf, haha, but in Blyth(meh) this Red Roof is an oasis.

It wasn't as bad as the first time we came passing through four years ago. The first time we visited, I found a pile of gummy bears in the closet and and soda can in the shower, along with various stains on the sheets and covers. However it has improved slightly. The room was hot and a bit underwhelming. The bathroom lights took 7-10 minutes to turn on- and there was a lot of gaps under the door and floor, but a much better experience then the last. Wouldn't recommend it for a long term stay, just if you need a play to crash last minute or are just passing through.

The only good thing about the RedRoof Inn in Blythe is that it's cheap. I rented two rooms and both were sketchy. Lots of old equipment, a bathroom door that didn't close all the way, and bugs (not sure what kind). The front desk did give me two extra pillows when I asked, so, that's good (I guess). One weird detail ....the bedside wall in the room that I stayed in was DUSTY. ?How long does a wall have to untouched before noticeable dust collects on it?Anyway, book this place if you want a cheap place to stay, but keep your expectations low.

Nice service, reasonable prices for a simple room. Get mini fridge and a coffee machine, microwave too. When you just happen to need a good nights rest as you cross the boarder back into your home state, Red Roof seems to be one of the better budget motels. This one is smaller, ground floor rooms only. Hidden slightly, it has a big courtyard with plenty of parking. Get the by 10pm or call to make arrangements as the lobby closes at that time. Use to go to motel 6. Been to the best versions of both. Motel 6 Suites which definitely is a large step above Regular version and Red Roof + which had a room that I’d be happy having as my own studio apartment. I do think prices for motels are twice the price of what the should be but if you got go, go Red Roof

Red rood inn Blythe is the WORST the room was below standards. The staff is horrendous the manager is very unprofessional, I ended up sleeping in my truck. I thought I'd go to the pool to cool down while the room cooled down but no the ac never worked. When I finally got in bed there were multiple bugs on the sheet. I ended up sleeping in my truck.

Disgusting rooms and rude staff. The first room had stains all over the bottom sheet. We went to the manager and he seemed nonplussed, but gave us a new room. He watched us pack from the doorway but refused to look at the stains. Got into the second room and immediately spotted a dead bug on one pillow. My partner is terrified of bedbugs, so back we went to the office to ask for a refund. He and his daughter wanted to see the bug for themselves. Ignored us when we said it had fallen on the floor. They said dead or alive it should still be there, and accused us of lying when they followed us. I showed them where it had been and they started yelling at me and my partner. They told us if we had seen a bug, we should call the police. They said “we do not have bed bugs. There are no bugs here.” over and over while I watched bugs crawl around their office and on me. They said they would not give us a full refund. The daughter threatened me by saying if we did choose to call the cops, then we would not get any money back because “we were in California now,” whatever that means. Her terrifying mother gave me the evil eye, so I’m likely cursed now but at least I got my refund in the end. If you like cum stains, bedbugs, and evil spirits then this is the place for you.

Great if you like brown stains all over your sheets and bed bugs. The staff was extremely rude as well. The man was trying to refuse to give us a full refund while the lady glared at us with a creepy death stare. Would rather sleep on the ground in the parking lot.

Our beds were not clean. Appears as though sheets were not changed; there were stray hairs on the pillow cases and dirt and hairs on the fitted sheets. There was even a boot print on the fitted sheet. As though somebody had stood on it with work boots on.

If this could give 0 starts I would. The front desk was incredibly rude when I asked to have my sheets changed because all of them were dirty and full of body hair and smudges. They offered me 1 sheet to change and I told them I needed the entire set of clean sheets and they REFUSED I even brought them to my room and they would rather refund me my money than give me clean sheets!!! I HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED LIKE THIS. Joe is his name!
