Room 114, going up to the door alot of trash on the ground, T.V. only 1 channel work, the screen came off the rail, smell bad, dust on headboard & base broad, no pen & paper, needed vacuum, oh and I was looking forward to the spa time it didn't even have water in it to use it, the only thing good about the place was the bed was very comfortable. We came here a very long time ago and it was very nice place & the spa was great. This is the first time I have left a review. Not coming a again.

I have stayed here in the pass a couple times. I Called to check availability at 7:45 pm. girl that answered the phone said she couldn’t check after 8:00 pm when I said it was 7:45 she hung up on me. I’ll never stay at the motel again.

Wish I would of read the reviews on Yelp first. We booked last minute while on a road trip that we wanted to extend. The receptionist wore a mask half on was sick and kept saying she had asthma then admitted her doctor said it was for guest protection cause she had a fever. Which if that's the case she shouldn't have been working. I work in health care so I just shrugged it off. To each there own. When we got to our room the first thing I do is always check the sheets. They were stained and dirty down to the mattress pad covered in hair and stains. I called the front desk and the receptionist went straight I to denial and defense mode. Finally after a ton of excuses she booked us a different room. Sheets were clean but still left a bad vibe. The place has potential but after reading the reviews have a feeling the receptionist/owner is trying to save buck and cutting corners to offer a better stay for her guest. No hot tub and no in room spa. You'll get a nice notice after you book about them being closed.

Spent 2 nights here and had absolutely no issues. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We had an upstairs king room with gorgeous views of the bay. The front desk and house keeping staff were friendly. Despite seeing some of the negative reviews, we wanted to try the place out for ourselves. No disappointments! Everyone has their own experiences and ours couldn't have been better.

The reviews on this place are all over... I will state that the front desk lady was extremely rude. There is a dog area, and past reviews have dogs in the pictures, but no dogs are allowed? The hot tub is disgusting and hasn't been open for years. There is no breakfast, and I was told they aren't responsible for what websites say they have? Excuse me? Where exactly would they get that information... We woke up with bug bites. ? If it wasn't for the false advertising, this wouldn't be the worst hotel we stayed at on our trip. The front desk lady needs to learn some people skills.

Run away this place. The reviews here are very true. I don't know what her name is, and I guess she is not normal. We booked a 2 bed room for 4 people, and we only came for 2 people to check in because we were camping at the beach. We just asked if it's possible to add two kids under 2 year old. She said no, and we have to book one more room because 6 people. We said ok and only stay with 2 adults and 2 kids. She said no again because we asked for 6 people and no change. She said we can not take this room anymore because we asked 6 people, so we have to take 2 rooms to get a discount. I said I was just asking, so now we are not staying with 6 people what to do with two rooms. She said no again and left. That old lady is crazy.

I would leave a zero if possible. Had a booking mixup on my end admittedly, but was greeted by the rudest person I've dealt with in years and i work in retail. Don't know why she wrote sunglasses inside in a dimly lit room but maybe she was high and her behavior would be explained. When i thanked her as i was leaving, she shouted at me about no availability in town. I went back to try to clear the air and she greeted me with a defensive "I'm not rude."Trust me, you're not convincing anyone.Noteworthy details: Horrible service, difficult to find, no views beyond parking lot.

Owner lady is straight up crazy. worst hotel experience EVER!!. she was rude right from the get go. we asked for a 30 min early check in and she went off on us and said we can cancel if we want but we wont find anything else. she said next time don't park in front of the lobby. we came back at 5 pm (one hour after out check in time) and the room still wasn't ready. and NO they were not busy (maybe 10 other guests tops). the room was gross and bathroom even more gross. hair all over the tub, sink full of fresh brown stains and stained towels. disgusting. clearly they hadn't even wiped the bathroom down. the view sucks. yeah its water...mucky mossy harbor water. no heater or a/c. couldnt get the tv to work properly. hot tub closed. the list goes on. this place is by far the worst dump i've ever stayed and she is the rudest lady ever!

If I could leave zero stars I would. I should have read the reviews before booking our stay. Everything that everyone else has posted has to be true after my experience with the hotel manager. We were coming up from souther California to help move my son into a dorm for the summer at the marine lab. I had booked thru southwest because I have a small business and I like to earn points. Well on southwest I could not book a second night so in the comments I asked if they had a room for the second night of our stay. We had a 10 hour drive and I didn't see the reply back that yes they did have a room for two nights. Great. So we get to the hotel it's nice and we meet the hotel manager. I gather from the other reviews her name is Karen. She stated to me that she would be extending the price of booking.com for two nights and that the room had smaller beds but for two nights. That was fine, great even and I thanked her. We went out to dinner and came back to the room and realized there wasn't a tv remote in the room. I tried using the side buttons on the tv but it runs thru a cable box. You can't change the channel on the side buttons. So, I called the office but they did not answer. Next morning we get up and the hair dryer was not working. My mom called the office and Karen answered saying it was before the office was open. It was 8:01 am and she said my mom needed to go to the office to get the replacement hair dryer. Karen was not in the office and brought it outside to my mom and gave her a hard time about it. She wouldn't look at my mom and was yelling "I don't open until 8 o clock" then she unlocked the door and then pecked at the clock that it was 8:08. People complain and your using it wrong. These are special hotel hair dryers etc. my mom is a sweet 1st grade teacher of like 30 years so I'm not sure why this woman was being so difficult. So my mom said the tv was missing the remote and she said she would ask the cleaning lady if she took it. So the hair dryer worked fine the new one that she gave. Later after moving my son into his dorm we returned to the room about 3pm. We tried the remote but it didn't work. Ironically Karen magically called the room at that moment, and the believe the post about hidden cameras and I'll get to why. So Karen tells me that she wants me to read off my credit card information to her because she needed to charge me for the second night. I said no problem and said hey the tv hasn't worked all night and wanted to be compensated in some form of a discount. She demanded that the room was discounted and that I did not respond to booking.com to charge the second night and they declined the discount. So now im confused. Also what everyone said about her talking over you and not letting you speak. That's all true. So I asked her multiple times to stop yelling at me and listen to what I was saying she wouldn't. She said there was not requirement to have a working tv and that I was too lazy and stupid to change it on the side of the tv. She said everyone else hasn't had any complaints and I was like yes because probably the last person in the room took or accidentally took the remote. It wasn't at this point about the remote it was that this woman was nasty and uncaring. She kept saying she had a recording of me and I said please let's review it together. Then I asked if I've been charged for the second night or can I leave. She got upset and said if I didn't stay that she would call every hotel in bodega bay and I wouldn't be able to stay anyone. Now I was mad and I said that's b******** I haven't done anything to deserve that. She was raising her voice, over talking and saying I was harassing her. I never did give my card information over the phone and thank god I didn't after reading about the credit card theft. I called booking.com. They are disgusted with the behavior from the hotel. They said she lied, she never reached out to them. They said to leave. So we left. I took pictures

To the ownerMy comment wasn't a retaliation from not getting a matience job ??? I'm a maintenance guy over at a better hotel now I have years experience doing maintenance work. I had reasons for not showing up and it's not legal for you to say I was late three times when I was out sick I had my reasons and your breaking every law.

One word: KAREN. And yes she lives up to her name.We always had a great experience with the owner and the room we get, but this lady is a problem and she is very proud of it. She said she knows she has bad reviews and and a bad reputation and wore it like a badge. We would come back if it wasn't for her. If you're looking for good hospitality go to Bodega Bay Inn and talk to Stephanie (see my other review)- she and they are amazing.

I wish I could give zero stars. First impression... dark, overpriced, poorly maintained hotel. Our first night was FREEZING, we tried to adjust the thermostat and it was obvious it hasn't been touched in years, we turned it off after 1 minute of musty, mildewy dust being blown. Sheets are itchy, ceiling had cobwebs hanging, and there was cosmetic damage that no one bothered to fix or attempt to make look nice. We were going to deal with it and look past it, we just needed somewhere safe to sleep with our young children. Our second night we arrived back to find our door cracked open and lights on. Before leaving in the morning, we had turned off all the lights and fully closed the door. On further investigation we noticed the window unlatched and the door frame where the deadbolt is, was loose and could easily be pushed open. We used the deadbolt on our first night so we know the frame wasn't loose like that. It felt like someone had set the room to be re-entered and we no longer felt safe so we didn't stay there. We couldn't get ahold of the innkeeper, Karen, that night so we decided to reach out in the morning to let her know of the safety concern and hopefully get a refund for the days we wouldn't be staying. Upon calling Karen in the morning we begin to tell her what happened and get interrupted by her accusing us of leaving the door open "no one went to your room so you must have left it open". She was so incredibly defensive from the moment we began just recounting what happened, it made me feel like she may have gone in our room to sweep it for valuables. It was really bizarre. She continued to be defensive and argue through out the whole phone call, contradicting herself repeatedly. She even accused us of having a pet in our room and how that room was not pet friendly (we don't have a pet!). Nothing was stolen (mainly because we had nothing of value left in there I assume) we just didn't feel safe staying there with our young children anymore and wanted a refund for the days we wouldn't be there. It doesn't seem like an outrageous request. If we would have been staying at a hotel where there was any kind of humanity they would have understood and refunded the money. I have never had someone react so defensively and argumentatively. We weren't accusing her ever but maybe we should have. Anyways, do not stay here. Please save your money!!!
