Unfortunately, we arrived at SC Villas and found the cell service and internet access to be none existent. Dropped calls and searches. We needed consistent service given a family emergency. We asked for a refund and were told there would be a one night charge, which we accepted. They later came back and said it was totally nonrefundable. I can’t say I can recommend this hotel unless you don’t want to communicate with the outside world. Everything looks bigger in the photos on the website. You will be disappointed, particularly with the pool.

Great weekend getaway spent here. Plenty of amenities enjoyed. The pool, spa, outdoor games and movie with campfire s'mores made for a fun day. This location is near the beach and plenty of restaurants. Rooms were clean and spacious that felt cozy with the fireplace. They really thought of the little things here to make our stay enjoyable.
We definitely will return

We stayed the night at Sonoma Coast Villas for my wife’s birthday. We had high hopes and expectations based on the fact we paid $450 for one night and from the outside the place looks nice but what a disappointment it turned out to be.
The room is very outdated and they do a horrible job cleaning the rooms. There were several dead bugs in the window seal, ants crawling all over the room, clothes left in the dresser from a previous guest. It was disgusting and made it almost impossible to enjoy our time there.
The grounds were barely maintained and ran down. It’s sad because this place has potential but there’s no way in hell I’m bringing my family to stay in this hotel again.

Everybody there was really nice. I would say the place is pretty bare bones and not well kept considering the hefty price that you pay to stay there. Location is OK. It’s right on the main road. The rooms are outdated, and the light fixtures are broken around the property, with cobwebs and unheated small pool. Like I said it was fine, but definitely not worth the price, but everybody there was very welcoming.

We had a chill night at the villa with comfy king-size bed and a cute little private courtyard. It’s just about 9 minutes from Bodega Bay, tucked in some quiet woods. The place has this cool mid-century vibe mixed with a bit of Spanish charm. We took a walk around the garden and it was peaceful. And the outdoor movie by the fireplace was memorable experience. This is great for couple getaways trip. We see no children around. Breakfast include. Clean dinning room.
The hotel doesn’t serve dinner and feels a bit worn down. But those are minor; broken planters and rusted chairs here & there. The fake flowers in the dining room, and the pool size doesn’t quite match the overall aesthetic of the hotel.

We had the pleasure of celebrating James and Cham’s proposal at Sonoma Coast Villa on June 17, 2025, and it was truly unforgettable. The place is incredibly relaxing — from the inviting pool and Jacuzzi to the cozy bonfire at night with free snacks and movies, everything set the perfect mood for a special occasion.
The atmosphere was peaceful and rejuvenating, making our stay so memorable. We truly appreciated the support and kindness of Kendra, who went above and beyond to make everything perfect. Her warmth added a personal touch that made all the difference.
We will absolutely recommend Sonoma Coast Villa to our friends and family, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. A beautiful experience all around!

Oh My Goodness. Beyond pleasantly surprised. I had no idea how amazing this place would be.
I will be back, and will stay longer.
The rooms are fantastic! King size beds, and oh so comfortable. We arrived very late, but Danielle let us know about the s’mores and movie showing by the fire pit. Yes please! We were able to enjoy the peaceful setting by the fireplace watching a movie.
The next morning I woke early to walk around the property and bird watch. They are located on several acres. And there is a nice pond as well.

This is the fourth time we've been here, and it is still amazingly quiet and beautiful. The staff is great. The rooms are amazing and I highly recommend it for a couple's retreat. The ocean is only about 10 minutes away by driving, until then, enjoy the country views and local Highland cows.

Staff so friendly and amazingly thoughtful, they pulled together staff last minute for our massages, and Heather was so phenomenal!! She freed a trapped muscle in my shoulder, and I can NOT stop smiling! What a blessing to find this place tonight!! 🙏

My girl and I have been here twice already and I love going there. The location is tranquil and away from the crowds. We stayed at different rooms so I can say it’s clean, very spacious, and cozy. I can imagine it would be more busy during summer season so it’s best to go during off-season. The breakfast is satisfactory. The atmosphere is peaceful.

My husband booked a short 3-night getaway for my birthday. The hotel could be beautiful if it was properly maintained. The women at the desk were great. However, our room wasn’t properly cleaned, and the room was extremely hot at 80 degrees with the thermostat set at 60 degrees. To resolve this issue they opened our windows and told us to use a portable fan in the closet. We did not receive any cleaning services for two days until my husband complained. We did not receive clean cups, coffee or towels, nor trash emptied, resulting in ants. Like I said at the beginning of my review, the women at the front desk were great, but there was no real oversight. I recommend hiring enough cleaning and maintenance staff and providing appropriate oversight. Each room should be checked daily and grounds weekly for proper upkeep. Your patrons will appreciate it.

My husband and I stayed here for our first wedding anniversary. Tatiana checked us in while Kendra, the general manager warmly welcomed us with a glass of local red wine. We stayed in room two with our dogs and were delighted with the accommodations of a fireplace, king bed, mini fridge and spacious room. The breakfast each morning was delicious. Kendra even shared recipes with me of two of my favorite dishes that were made.
The location was ideal! We were visited The Birds Café (great artichoke tacos), Sea Flower Café, Dillon Beach, Halleck Vineyard (schedule pairing tasting ahead of time), and Drake’s. All were no more than 20
minutes at most from Sonoma Coast Villa. Very quaint, serene, and rustic coastal charm with an extremely friendly and hospitable staff. I highly recommend booking here for your next getaway.

Kendra, Tanya & Steve made our short stay at Sonoma Coast a delight. They were each welcoming of our pup Leo, built a fire for us at night, and even drove my Wife to the local spa when Uber proved to be unreliable. True hospitality that’s hard to find. The grounds had a beautiful walking trail and we were sited close to the coast and nearby Sebastopol. Looking forward to coming back in summer!

It was a wonderful stay! My two friends and I stayed in their double king for the long weekend and we had a wonderful time. The room was spacious and we used the coffee table to play a lot of board games. Danielle and Kendra were amazing and welcomed us with a glass of wine. They were also really lovely with my dog, Wilby! The smores and movie around the fire were great but it was a bit too chilly to stay long. Would definitely recommend this location if you're hoping to explore the nearby areas!
