DO NOT BUY CLEARANCE MERCHANDISE FROM VONS!I was at this Vons location over the weekend and noted that EVERY ITEM in the clearance section had its price inflated 200%-400% before being reduced by 50%.I took photos of one example but this was true for literally every single item in the clearance section. I understand that products should be discounted at their normal price but not at a made up price forcing you to pay MORE than the shelf price for an item that is nearing expiration and being sold under "clearance".It's blatant dishonesty and thievery when people are struggling more than ever to afford food.

I am a long time customer of this store and like the veteran staff like Stephen the Cashier and Mike the Bagger. But now every other time I visit there are people just walking out with beer and groceries. The blatant theft and apathetic staff is really demoralizing for paying customers. I even saw a trashy couple nonchalantly make multiple trips with armfuls of steaks, beer, and snacks to their truck. I have lived in my share of bad neighborhoods coming up and Bonita is definitely not the sort of place you would expect that behavior. But as someone who has seen neighborhoods in decline this Vons has all the signs.

Everyone is great except for the manager Rosa. Always in a bad mood (not friendly). Last trip in she’s standing by the self checkout registers not doing anything with two long lines waiting to checkout. My purchase was one bottle of alcohol and i kindly asked her if she could ring me up at the register she was standing in front of because i just saw her ring someone else up. She said no and sent me over to the long lines. Customer service is poor. Everyone else is friendly.

Staff is great--friendly, helpful, familiar. Stocking is on the short side--frequently run short. A mile and a half from our house, this is our "Go-to" grocery market. Although kind of a "red-haired step-child" to the Eastlake Von's, I prefer proximity and red hair to more distant beautiful children... This is our "go-to" market--make it yours if you're local.

The supermarket does not have alot of choices on items. But if you need few items then this is the store.

This grocery store is the WORSt ever! I arrived at this store @7:45 am this morning and left 8:30 am for just 6 little items: 2 salads, 2 breads, fruit and veggie trays for almost 1 hour in the store! Imagine that there was only 1 person working at the deli and that guy was so rude! I waited a good 15 mins to be served with the guy worker who would not even say “ I’ll be with you ma’am but instead he said “I’m helping someone, I’m helping someone”. So I went around to buy fruits and veggie salad thinking that I won’t go back because the guy was so rude but the person who got before me said go back “don’t let that guy treat you that way”, so I say that customer is right and he saw his rudeness then I thought I do need to go back, finally got the salads. Next is at the check-out, I waited at the self service for @ 15-20 mins because there was a line, only 1 cashier at the regular register with lines of @3 customers and so with the self service At the self service, after i swiped my items, something went wrong and register kept on beeping “help is on the way, again and again” for almost 5 mins with no one coming for help! I looked around and no one’s coming for a rescue and I saw this girl talking and talking with this guy but I can’t see her wholly because of the register blocking, I attempted to go to the regular register but this only cashier was busy too. So after almost 5 minutes I asking that girl talking to help me, finally she ended her conversation with the guy. What! She’s a supervisor? Actually I was hesitant to get her attention because I thought she’s the cleaning lady but I said “can you help pls” anyway, mind you she’s just like 10 feet away and she didn’t hear me, the register was already shouting thousand times “help is on the way, help is on the way ….”, and her excuse was that her ears are clogged. If it’s clogged how long was she chatting with that guy? Please whoever the Manager in this store, train her! Train your staff about what is a good “Customer Service”!!! A little addition it’s true that if you don’t speak Spanish and you go shop in this store, think again! You might want to go shop in another Vons on another place and not in this Vons in Bonita Road!!!

I love my local Vons but the bathroom should be in a scary gas station somewhere in the desert. It ‘s really bad and the employees and customers deserve better! Come on, Vons! Step up your game. Health department?

The staff in the deli area need more training. They are rude, they don’t smile and think they own the place. I’m old and don’t need rude people we need patience and friendly people. Will go to Eastlake next time.

Cashiers stereotype customers. Not all brown people speak Spanish. Try speaking English to your customers first. If the customer doesn’t speak English then have at it and speak Spanish.Stop stereotyping! That is why this country is where it is.
