Excellent find. Friendly staff greeted us and then left us alone to shop. Book section was well thought out. History, geology, 1940 periodicals, birds, hiking. We bought everything.

Anza-Borrego Desert Natural History Association (ABDNHA, pronounced "AB-NA") is an educational nonprofit whose mission is to enhance the understanding, appreciation and enjoyment of the desert. The Desert Nature Center is a bookstore/gift shop offering maps, guides, books and info on history, geology, wildlife, birds, reptiles, plants, wildflowers, night sky and native peoples. Shop for unique gifts, t-shirts, hats, jewelry, mugs, souvenirs and toys. Explore the outdoor exhibits to learn more about the desert. Stroll through the beautiful and serene Desert Garden.
