Nice little art gallery. It does have a restroom and is air conditioned. The gift shop has lots of stuff to buy made by local artists.

This is always a must-stop on my visit to Borrego Springs. Located right on Christmas Circle. The exhibits are outstanding. They showcase artists while one has the opportunity to see our beautiful desert landscape through their eyes.Be sure to pursue the gift shop. Again, everything reflects the talents of our artists.

Love this "Small town with BIG art"! I absolutely love the art institute staff, fascinating art shows, workshops and kids art programs. I am proud to be a member artist among the many talented artists at BAI and sharing my Earth Art Creations.

to see an art institute in the middle of the desert it's quite an inspiration. Local philanthropist pull together about 10 years ago and made this happen for the local community. Hours maybe seasonal for both the art institute as well as the attached restaurant, but this should be one of your highlights if you're visiting Borrego springs. Most impressive, just like the unique sculptures scattered all over the desert in Borrego Springs, no tax dollars, government agencies, or outside developers have been involved in these local improvements.

I love that you can: - Be part of of the one of the top solutions to fight climate chaos ( which is to compost. So bring your vegan food scraps to compost here anytime at the back of the garden in the pile on the far right when you face the compost sign :) Don't put paper foodware there because they most likely have toxic PFAS ( or is lined with plastic ( PFAS and plastic in compost can grow back into edible parts of produce ( - Buy a $5/bag of home-grown produce on Friday mornings. They even grow moringa!

It houses ever changingexhibitions, classes, and art for sale. The BAI shares the building with Kesling'sKitchen a delightful Cafe with a commanding view of the desert and mountains that surround Borrego Springs. The BAI is a big part of the great world of art in Borrego Springs.
