Beautiful place. Great cellphone service. Interesting drive. Looks like it's becoming more well known as it was full in winter, with 2 extra campers parked down the road. The vault toilet isn't pumped out enough anymore for the amount of people visiting.

Campground was too close quarters so we found a more private spot down the road. Great views. Pretty amazing all in all.

Incredible place to camp for free in California. Bring your van, car, or whatever you have. The views are amazing, the bathroom is very clean. There are bees and they want your water. Best place to camp for free in California, period.

View is spectacular. Few sites, about half occupied during the week, early spring. I would assume it fills up when it's warmer. Bring water and TP! The last 5 miles getting up is a little rough and very narrow in some places. I don't think I'd pull anything big or attempt it in a long RV. My minivan did fine. This video was done about .5 miles from the campground.

Amazing campgrounds. Very clean throughout the whole place. Drive up here was a little challenging as we are in a 25ft Skoolie with no shocks and tiny 19" wheels. We came from the Paris Valley Rd side. This was the hardest part as we needed to cross some huge erosion spots. After that, the climb up was nice. Be cautious though, there are a lot of tight spots, high leans, and no guard rails.

Say hello to ranger Scott. He's working very hard to keep the beautiful land accessible for everyone. And most important of all, leave the land better than when you find it. BLM does not have the budget for trash cleanup as National/State Parks. This was a very beautiful place but full of trash (beer cans, shattered bottles, diapers, cardboard targets, disposable food containers, amping refuse, and discarded ammunition casing): Enough to make you want to cry.

Great place to get outdoors with the family. Although, a lot of people have not packed out their trash, it gives you ample space to get out and shoot in multiple beautiful, safe range settings. The roads are getting rough due to the amount of incoming traffic, but that's expected when it's the perfect time of year to get out and about. All and all it's a great place! Just remember that no one is anyone's mother and pick up after yourself.

30+ min washboard drive in the end and all sites were full on Saturday. Found a spot outside the campground which was fine. The view is very beautiful. I would recommend for more agile cars not RVs If going with a bigger RV, stay at least for two nights to make up for the painful washboard drive. For 30+ feet, I would just forget about it.

No water. Dry and dusty but lots of shade at camp.
