Carbon Canyon Regional Park is a clean, peaceful, and well-maintained park. It is a great place for walking, light hiking, and picnics near the beautiful lake. The highlight is the Redwood Grove, the only one in Southern California, featuring a tranquil cluster of redwood trees. It is a lovely place for a relaxing walk, a nature escape, birdwatching, and hiking with family, friends, or dogs. Visitors also appreciate the children's play areas and the ultra-clean restrooms. The park is considered unusual, beautiful, and worth the entrance fee.

The park is well maintained and it has considerable foot traffic ,i especially lijed seeing trees neing planted of various types perpetually regenerating park growth.
