I own a BMW and had been struggling to find a good local mechanic in Brea who actually knows BMWs inside and out. After a bad experience with a previous mechanic in Fullerton who didn’t do nearly as good of a job, I decided to take my car to Charlie’s Auto Repair — and I’m so glad I did!
Mike, the car mechanic there, is honest, skilled, and truly trustworthy. He took the time to diagnose my car properly and went above and beyond with the repairs. Not only did he fix the main issue, but he also repaired my hood latch and even added oil to my car. It’s rare to find a mechanic who genuinely cares about doing the job right and making sure the customer drives away completely satisfied.
If you’re in Brea and looking for a reliable BMW repair shop or trustworthy local mechanic near you, I can’t recommend Charlie’s Auto Repair enough!

I've been blown away by Charlie's Auto Tech! I never write reviews for businesses, but they deserve praise. The staff and, in particular, Mike has been so helpful, honest, and kind that it made going to a mechanic a positive experience. Something that was noteworthy is that he never made me feel ashamed or judged for not knowing a vehicle's issue. He went through the effort to explain the problem before quickly fixing our cars' issues!

Ay Ay! 5-stars easily for Mike and Charlie's Auto Tech. I want to say Mike has serviced four of my family cars at this point (since long before Covid). Land Rovers, GMC Yukon XL, Toyota, BMW X7. So a wide range. Charlie's is obviously less expensive and less 'pushy' than car dealership service departments. At dealerships, we always feel like we're being fleeced on things that aren't necessary. The inflated labor costs at dealerships is an unnecessary stress. In life, I tell my kids, always find a trusted doctor, a trusted plumber/contractor and a trusted mechanic. In my opinion, you're safe with Charlie's.

Mike and his dad the most honest and reliable people I've ever come across in their industry. Honest diagnosis, good work, timely completion, and fair pricing. No upselling, no BS, just good dudes. My family and I haven't gone anywhere else for at least 10yrs now.

Probably the best auto repair shop out there. Mike is the most honest and trustworthy person he will tell you exactly what is wrong and never tries to upsell you something that you don’t need. I take all my cars to him and always recommend him to anyone that I meet.
