I’ve been at this CrossFit gym 8 months and I love it. The coaches are helpful, yet not intrusive, and the community is tight. Everyone knows my name and I know theirs. Plus, it’s a really encouraging and positive fitness environment. Even though I was the newbie, the veterans would point out what I did well in a workout. There are a wide range of skill sets and I get a great workout every time I come. What’s more, I tried out three gyms before this and none of them seemed very concerned about injuries or keeping me healthy — here, Neil and the other coaches really accommodate injuries and try to prevent future ones. If you want to get healthy and improve your fitness, come here and try out a class.

I have been to other CrossFit gyms before, but this place has a completely different vibe altogether. Coach Neil does a wonderful job with not only training the athletes, but also helps with diet, concentrating on problem areas and motivating to achieve goals. It's a really fun environment to work out and all the fellow athletes are extremely motivating and approachable. I would highly recommend CrossFit Meta!

I had the opportunity to try a free intro session with Coach Heather. It was very informative and the intro workout was very clearly explained with personalized modifications based on each persons current strength level. Really appreciate the attentiveness to each person during the session. The ownership and environment is very motivating, helpful and fun - would recommend!

I've been coming to Meta for 2 1/2 years now and I honestly can't see myself going to any other gym now. At first I was hesitant to join CrossFit and “drink the kool-aidâ€...😜 But I'm so glad I did! With the help of the awesome coaches and extremely fit and dedicated owner, Neil, I've accomplished so much more than I ever could have anticipated. The combo of endurance, weight lifting, and gymnastics training helped me become stronger, more fit, and most importantly, more confident! And while the coaching is top notch and the facility is large, fully equipped, and super clean, the community is probably my favorite feature of the gym. I may be a little biased though because it's actually where my husband and I met! When the gym's tagline says “Changing Lives Foreverâ€, it's telling the truth! Seriously though, we have such a great group of members and it all creates such a positive and genuine atmosphere. They make the grueling WODs THAT much easier to get through! Because, the programming ain't too shabby either 💪 😉

Had the opportunity to drop in at Meta a couple of weeks and had a lot of fun! Had the pleasure of meeting coach Heather and the owner, Neil. Neil was super nice and gave us all the info we needed before dropping in. A couple of us attended a class lead by coach Heather. We showed up early so we got to see the previous class working out. I was mesmerized by Heather's ability to double under. I have never seen anyone double under so fast! Come to find out, she was the coach for the next class. The class was very well structured and made very good use of the space they have. The class had the typical structure: warmup + strength + wod. Heather was very knowledgeable and pretty much a badass. She made sure to always go around and check on everyone. The workout left me almost dying (don't worry that's a good thing for me). I know CrossFit can be very intimidating, especially for those that are new. Crossfit Meta definitely will make you feel right at home and very welcomed. Every member was very nice and friendly. Whether you're a seasoned worker outer or someone who's brand new, you'll be in good hands with Meta.

If anyone is looking for a gym, I would highly recommend CrossFit Meta. The coaches are great, they pay attention to your needs, form, strengths and weaknesses and work with you to improve and achieve your overall health goals. I have tried several CrossFit gyms and so far this has been one of the greatest experience. The people who work out here are inspiring, welcoming and motivating and there seems to be a sense of unity here. Coach Neil is very knowledgeable and experienced at what he does. He will give you rationals on why you practice certain moves and the benefits it has for you. I just started but I already feel at home.

I love this place! I never thought I'd say that about a place you "work out" at but it's way more than that. I've been here for 3 years and it's been a life changer. If you come here, you'll always be encouraged to do your best and reminded that by showing up and working, you're improving your life that much more! Neil Thomas is an incredible person and coach and he only hires the same. I lost 45 pounds doing Crossfit and this gym has changed my life and kept my life changed. I've learned nutrition and how to push my body beyond what I thought I could do all while learning to move safely and efficiently. This picture is me happy I'm here!

Crossfit has literally changed my life, for someone that has been weight training most of my life coming to Crossfit under the coaching of the Meta team in Brea opened my eyes to what a whole body workout really looks like, I have never been in better shape, now getting to watch how it has changed my teenage sons attitude about himself is amazing !! As a teenager it is so important to be part of a heathley group of people that he is influenced by, really hard to find something that is good for our kids and that they want to be part of these days.

My wife and I are in our forties are were really out of shape. We had joined gyms in the past but really didn't know what we were doing or what a "good workout" looked like. We made the decision that we would sign up for CrossFit and Orange Theory and we would give both a try. We were actually quite nervous to even start the process. She called Neil at CF Meta and the rest, as they say, is history. We never even made it to Orange Theory. He made us feel so comfortable. His mission is to create an environment that no matter your fitness level, skill set or age, he and his team of coaches will help you get fit. They will modify exercises to work around injuries or skill sets. All I would say is don't let your lack of weightlifting experience keep you from giving CF Meta a try. We had absolutely no experience. We have lost a lot of weight and feel great. If you want to make a change in your health, look no further than CF Meta.

Search no further...this is the place for your health and fitness. My husband I have been members at CF Meta for almost 11 months and we absolutely love it. Together, we have lost a little over 40 lbs and have each gone down two sizes. We discovered CF when we would often take the kids out for ice cream at Baskin Robins. We would sit outside and watch people go in/out of CF. We always said to ourselves--"we should do something" like that. After a few years, we decided to give it a try. Our first free introduction class was awesome. Coach Snez was very attentive to the movements, technique and in tune with our current fitness level. (Couch potato/frequent ice cream eating people). We decided to sign up for 3 days a week. After 2-3 weeks into it, we upgraded our membership to unlimited days/week because we were HOOKED. We now go at least 4-6 days a week. Coach Neil (the owner) has created such a neat environment with a community that encourages people of all ages/sizes to reach whatever their fitness goals are. Everyone goes at their own pace and is not competing with anyone but themselves. I was nervous at first with weightlifting-since I never in my life lifted a barbell. Safety is definitely a priority at Meta. The coaches make sure everyone is using proper technique to avoid any injuries. They will modify any movements that you cannot do. We've joined different fitness regimens in the area--gyms, kickboxing..etc... but never stuck to any of it. It just wasn't fun or giving us the results we were looking for. Crossfit Meta has transformed our lives. It's become a super fun hobby we enjoy doing together..and you get all of the health benefits. Being in our mid 40s--we are in the best shape of our lives...AND it's only getting better. Call Coach Neil--you won't regret it! PS. This gym is nicely air conditioned and super clean--which I so appreciate!
