I went to the salon for a haircut and I should have just left before the stylist (Suzy) even touched my hair. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she not only did not give me the style I asked for, she cut it different lengths on each side and did one layer without blending and only on one side. Then she kept burning my head with the blow dryer and when I told her I didn't like something she ignored me. I thought I liked it because she put so much product in my hair I couldn't see how bad the cut was until I got home and washed it. The whole experience was honestly terrible. Now it is so short I won't be able to fix it for months. I am disgusted.

Went in for a haircut, asked if they were open, the girl told me yes, waited for like 30 min, just for her to come out and tell me they’re booked for the rest of the day. One star. Don’t do that with peoples time.

I am writing this review for my mom she went today to get high lights in my hair by Francis, she was horrible she wanted high lights. She kept leaving to do other things, then ruined my hair doing something to give her a huge knot and then wanted her to cut my hair my mom didn’t want to my mom don’t have much hair so much hair fell out with what she did she quoted my mom 145 and charged her 245 worst experience of her life her dad just died and she wanted to have just nice hair for the funeral and the manager didn’t do nothing eithermy mom left hours later and she now have to figure out what to do with her hair now because it’s falling out in handfuls

Ashley was so knowledgeable and kind. She cut my daughters hair and my daughter loved her she gave her the princess treatment washed and dryed it &’was very attentive to her. I really like how kind she was and made it such a good experience for my daughter. Thank you for all your help & for the great service you provided to me and my daughter 🤍 Also Kacey was very helpful and answered all my questions and concerns I appreciate it☺️

I got my haircut by Alyssa and she was amazing. She’s newer to the team and did such a great job. I cut off about 6 inches and wanted low layers and light front framing layers so that I could pull 2 pieces out in front when up in a bun. I showed her pictures of what I DIDN’T want and she understood me completely. I got exactly what I wanted! She provided excellent service and professionalism. She’s my new stylist! I’ll be referring her to my family/friends. Thanks Alyssa!

Today was my very first time going to Jcpenny salon I never knew them existed until I’ve seen the advertised all over fb. Ive decided why not ima try it out despite all the negative reviews.
Let me tell yall it was the best experience I ever got. 10/10 and here’s why:
The front desk KC was super helpful and greeted me as soon as I walk up to the counter. 10/10
My hair stylist Julie she was super sweet and omg let me tell yall the best hair wash and the massage ??♀️. 10/10
I asked for a trim but keep my length and y’all Julie did not disappoint at all. 10/10
I left looking brand new and feeling good. My hair felt so much healthier and lighter. I most highly recommend .
Today was my mommy day dealing with 5 kids all day long this is the best thing I’ve ever treated myself. I am definitely returning back! See you soon Julie on my next appointment. ???♀️

I want to comment on Linda specifically on this review. I was in a bind and really needed my daughters hair trimmed (She's almost 13). Salon was almost closing and Linda was kind enough to take us in. She not only took us in but she did it with the most amazing attitude and made my daughter and I both feel welcomed and safe that she wouldn't rush her work and give my daughter the best she deserved! My daughter felt it too and told me she wants Linda to continue to do her hair. She even was kind enough to go out of her way and help me find someone to help my daughter with her first time getting her eye brows done. In an era where people don't tend to take pride in what they do, I def welcomed Linda's attitude and help! She is very skilled at what she does and would highly recommend her!!

I first met Lin at another salon in Brea about 8 years ago and I have been following her ever since. All of my sisters go to her too for eyebrow threading. Now at JCPenney, Lin continues to do an excellent job and my eyebrows are always on point. I highly recommend Lin for eyebrow threading! Lin also does a lot of other services at the salon.

You call and no one answers, you have to leave a message on the voice message machine, yes- I believe it's a machine. They won't call you back and when you come into the location they say that the phone system's been down. Well, now it's been about a year and I'm still not getting a return phone call. I had a conversation briefly with the manager there and she confirmed she got the call. Do they not want business? I'm confused, the only thing I can think of is that they get paid an hourly wage, if they work hard on someone's hair or have to do a cut that minuses from their hourly rate so why even work if they're hourly rate is probably more than a total service. I'm just guessing here but it sounds pretty valid. Don't waste your time even though there's a gentleman there that's an excellent stylist, I hope he will relocate somewhere else where he can be valued for his excellence in hair color and cut.

The person who cut my hair was very nice; however, did not listen to me. When I walked in, I asked for a trim of 1 to 1.5 inches off. They easily cut off 4 inches, which is not what I wanted. My bangs were not cut properly either, to the point where after 20 years I have chosen to no longer have bangs because I cannot work with what they left me.
