This place is terrible. Tiny place and the staff are know it alls and don't respect your choices for your new member of the family. We got the friendliest bird who we would see a few times before we got him home and the day we came to pick him up they decided to be aggressive with trimming his nails and beak. And the chick holding him down was super unprofessional and couldn't even bother getting off the phone with a family member. So we got left with a traumtized bird who associates being tortured with us trying to get him. Ever since that day he hisses at us and bites us when we try to hold him. He eats well, sings and acts like he wants attention but the moment he sees hands going towards his cage or the door opener, he gets agressive. He only likes being talked to. We've had other birds growing up and this has never happened because the people who we got the birda from were professional and careful with their animals. It sucks because we've had this little buddy for months and he hasn't been the same since they treated him poorly. Spent over 700 for him and now we can't even touch him without stressing him out. Avoid this place at all costs.

Iāve been going to Omarās since they were in Cypress. Their new location is the smallest so far. Iām a little worried since theyāve been there since September and still donāt have a sign on the building. Hopefully, itās just trying to get it done through the city. They only had a few birds and food and toys were paired down from their old location. I wish them the best of luck and hope there around for a while.

I really recommend this place if you would like to buy a bird the birds are out so you could let the on you and you could hold them I even bought a bird their.

We haven't been to any of Omarās stores till today. We live 4 1/2 hours away from the store in Brea. We needed to go down to L.A. for our business and decided to drive an extra 1 1/2 to Omarās in Brea because we have heard nothing but good things. When we got there at 4pm all their birds were put away in the back in their cages for the night even though it says they close at 5pm. The lady that worked there was very unpleasant and acted like it was a huge inconvenience to her that we were even there. When we asked her questions she gave us very short answers with an attitude.
The reason for only 2 stars is solely because of the one employee. The other lady was a little nicer. The store was very clean and the only birds that were uncovered or not put away were the baby cockatiels because she was feeding them. They looked very healthy and clean. And would have boughten one if both my husband and i didn't feel so unwanted by this employee. So we left. Maybe we will try going to the other locations next time. And i will update this review on that experience too. Also i think it should say somewhere on their website that they put all their birds away at 3:30pm because if it did we would have not driven an extra 1 1/2 hours to go check out their birds. We would have come back next time we came to L.A.

The toys are a little pricey but the food is good. Only one my bird will eat, and staff is so friendly as well as their birds!

My family and I have always had a positive experience with Omar's! Although, the store can be bustling at times, the staff (especially Diana, Trevor, and Savannah) are incredibly knowledgeable and patient which makes the whole experience at Omar's all the more worthwhile. We have had our AGC gender test and grooming done here. The grooming was professionally done and I appreciate the care they took with our girl. Also when it came to picking up the gender test results, Savannah took the time to write and draw a congratulatory message/image for us when we opened the results letter. I like how their gender results also includes a certificate as well. Diana is just the sweetest and I love how she and the other staff make sure that you have a pleasant experience there. For instance, we were looking for a particular toy and Trevor was able to show us different options that we can choose from and the ones that we ended up purchasing, our flock absolutely LOVE! Also love and appreciate how the birds are able to roam around on their perches. You can tell that there is alot of care that comes into caring for the birds as well as the store itself (organized and clean). Although we live an hour away, Omar's (especially this location) is our go-to spot! ^^

During a grooming session, one of the newer hires let go of my bird who could obviously fly and she flew right into their huge window. I'm extremely lucky she didn't break her neck or any bones and die (I've had another one break it's leg flying into the door and he ended up dying) so this event was very traumatic for me. Or she could have flew out of the door! They literally did nothing for me, they walked over to her, picked her up. Did the grooming and charged me FULL price! This place is becoming a joke!!!!
