This review is strictly for Darla….. It does not apply to Zero & Company, Mergim or Staff.
I have depended on Darla for approximately 20+ years to prepare my taxes and for many, many years it all worked out very well for me.
Last 6-7 years I’ve had changes in my finances and was paying more taxes at the end of each year. Darla advised me to change my withholdings to Single and $0. I immediately acted and did just that. However, that ill advise followed me each and every year…. I had to pay both state and federal taxes, in the hundreds and even in the thousands… Each year I depended on Darla to assess my withholdings and she’d continue saying, go ‘Single and $0’..you’re fine !! I’d always go back to my employer and make sure everything showed ‘single and $0’..
When I filed 2022 she assured me that it would be the last year I’d have to pay the high amounts…. Smaller amount of taxes would have pacified me….. but guess what? In 2023 I paid the highest ‘underpayment amounts’….plus penalties for underpayment of taxes… I was undoubtedly super upset…
This time I asked her to show me exactly what I had to do to correct and redo my withholdings. I requested this information to be sent to me in writing and in laymen terms so that I could understand more clearly how to resolve this issue, after all she is the professional.. this request was made on May 2, 2024… and fell on deaf ears, because IT NEVER CAME. She totally ignored my request, even though I paid for her harsh ADVISE..
Darla showed her true colors by ignoring me. Darla, you have let me down. I trusted you and even referred you to friends and family.

We have been seeing Mergim for 20 years or more now. Always honest VERY well informed, efficient and helpful. Trustworthy. Easy to speak to and ask questions made us feel comfortable, NEVER judgmental.
We feel very fortunate to have found Mergim and his staff during this stressful tax?time

Very knowledgeable and does everything by the books. But if you are looking for a company that does tax planning and strategy then look else where. You will have to come up with your own strategies.

Mergim Zero is one of the best accountants. Professional, responsive, and informative. I highly recommend him for personal, estate, and corporate filings. My sister and I have a complicated tax situation, due to probate, stock gains, and day jobs. Zero said it was no problem, all we had to do is email him all our paperwork, he kept us informed throughout the whole process by calling and emailing. He takes his time with his clients, never rushed on a phone call with my tax questions. He responded to my emails on the weekends. Honestly, I don't know how he does it, but I'm glad he does. I'd totally recommend Zero as your CPA, for any tax situation.

We have been clients since 2009. Our kids are also clients. Zero & Company is knowledgeable, thorough and professional . Everytime we have our taxes done we know that they will be doneto the highest standards. This year our tele-conference was perfect (sent back completed tax packet prior to call). They are friendly and patient and answer all questions. Thank you Darla Zero, see you next year!

Was referred to Zero by a friend. They did a great job on the current year and then went back two years and cleared some stuff up getting be a backdated refund. Kelly did great job and always responded to my questions.
