“My auto matic shifter was not working properly , ie locking in park, and would not shift into drive or reverse. I took it to four car garage , David diagnosed the problem, did the necessary repair and my car was ready to go in less than 24 hours. Now it runs perfectly again.”
“They took me in right away and I was able to drop my car off before heading into work. They recalibrated my system after showing a low tire pressure signal which wasn’t accurate. They were quick and so kind about it all.”
“Owners provided good communication and support. They gave me a ride to BART and worked with me on having my son pick up car. They gave full explanation of work performed and final status of car. Price for work appeared reasonable.”
“B&W Automotive has conducted my automotive service needs for my five vehicles in over the past 10 years with my complete satisfaction. I just had B&W replace
the engine to my 2004 GMC Yukon. Excellent job to say the least.”
“Took my older BMW there with concerns about the gasket valve. The team there did an excellent job replacing it and were able to detect another issue that had gone unfixed for some time. Great communication, incredibly knowledgeable, and really good prices for the work being done. Will continue to support this team”

“My battery died on my 2018 Audi. Found VAS on Google and read the great reviews. Called Kenny and he said that he had the battery that my car needed in stock and was able to install it within 45 mins! As this was my first time into VAS, he also offered some great advice for my car and other things to consider for the future.
I highly recommend Kenny and VAS if you have a VW or an AUDI. Reasonably priced and wonderful customer service!
And a great cafe on the corner to visit while waiting!”
“My air conditioner broke down, and I dreaded the repair process. I called On Tack and had a fantastic experience. Their communication was great and they quickly fixed the issue, and my AC is now running perfectly. Terrific service and a great overall experience—I highly recommend them!”
“Can’t say enough good things about this place. Thorough, honest, skilled… not to mention I get a free education from Wayland every time I visit. Best shop in town.”
“Been coming here for alignment for years and tell my friends and family to bring their car here, straightforward honest professional service. This time I had an issue with my alignment after it was done, so I brought it back. The lady who I usually speak with was very patient and helpful, she asked Peter a master mechanic to show me what was going on. It turned out the alignment was done so good essentially, that it pointed out other issues such as with my control arm bushing, which may have been dangerous to drive on. This could have prevented serious issues down the line, God forbid. Thank you United Auto!!”

The car is running great.”

“Dealer quoted over 2k for front control arm bushings. I called Barinder for a second opinion. He said he’d take a look and let us know if they needed to be replaced. After inspection, they did and the cost was under 1k. He did the work quickly and honestly. Would recommend for any Subaru owners in the area.”
“Dirk and Ernie are the best,
Taking any consideration my history with my S5 50 transmission. After the initial charge , they waited and waited for a not so expensive part to come in and put it in a cost. These days, I don’t know anybody that does that. You’re not gonna find a more solid shop with good people.”
“I was ready to spring for a re-built transmission, and chose this shop due to it’s proximity to my location… They let me leave it w/o appointment and diagnosed the problem as engine issue, saving me thousands of dollars. Repaired the next day. Very friendly and informed front desk too… though I live in Santa Cruz, I think I’ll save my maintenance work for when I visit family in Burlingame. Top notch!”
“Adna is great and reliable. He’s done lots of maintenance work on my Toyota RAV4 this year from changing out the control arms, shocks and alternator. Would highly recommend his shop ??”

“Have had nothing but the best quality work done by Alberto and his team here. Prices are fair (some of the best in my experience), and Alberto is super knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend getting your car work done here.”
“I want to share the honesty and professionalism I experienced at this place. My car is a 2016 Toyota Camry with about 120,000 miles on it. A few months ago, I started hearing a knocking sound coming from under the engine, and it gradually got louder. Someone I know, who knows a bit about cars, told me it was coming from the transmission. After hearing that, I avoided long-distance driving and only drove locally, planning to fix it when the time came.
Unfortunately, things got worse when I was laid off from work, and money became very tight. Each day, the sound seemed louder, and I worried the car might stop while driving. I was desperately thinking of the cheapest way to fix the transmission, and eventually decided to take it to a local transmission shop. Among the options, AMCO in Oakland had good reviews, and I was able to easily book an appointment online on the Monday Nov 24.
I explained the noise, and they told me it would cost $200 to diagnose the issue. I was mentally prepared to fix it if the estimate came out to under $2,000, and they also said the $200 would be applied to the repair cost if I chose to proceed. Since I couldn’t see the problem myself, the whole situation felt overwhelming and I had no choice but to trust the shop. If they had quoted a repair cost, I would have had to pay it or put it on a credit card, even if it meant going into debt.
About an hour and a half later, I went back to talk to them. When they told me that fixing the transmission would normally cost four to five thousand dollars, I thought, “This is it… the moment I was afraid of.” But then the manager smiled and said, “You are a lucky guy.” He explained that the knocking sound wasn’t coming from the transmission at all—it was simply the tire cover making noise. They removed all the loose covers from my car and recommended to replace all four covers.
I was relieved beyond words. I regretted trusting someone who only “knew a bit” about cars, but I was extremely grateful that I went for a second opinion. I thanked God for leading me to honest people and for allowing everything to work out safely. Looking back, I realized how easy it could have been for someone to scam me and make quick money. But these people were completely honest, handled everything professionally, and treated me with integrity.
I want to leave this review, even though it’s only a short one, to express my appreciation for their work. I hope I won’t have to go back for transmission issues, but if I ever do, this is the place I’ll return to—and I truly recommend them to others.”
“John and his staff are stand up guys! Fair, honest, and efficient. He, and they, go above and beyond, to help their customers. If there were a sixth star, they'd get that!”
“Called them to get an estimate over the phone. They were great about taking the time to educate and explain what my issues could be and questions I could ask to make sure I wasn't getting duped by other shops I was trying to get additional estimates from. Really appreciated their honesty and suggestions on what to do with my car if I wasn't going to get it repaired. If they treat someone like this who isn't a paying customer, I'm sure they're being equally transparent with their customers.”
“Andy is always professional when speaking. He is tall, just like his professionalism and kindness.
I went to get my BMW's transmission topped up, and he completed the job in less than an hour.
I called another shop, and they wanted to charge me for two hours of work for a top-up.
I will definitely return to have my Nissan's clutch checked.”
“Over the pass years, Roland is my go-to guy for my minivan. If you are looking for reliable, professional and reasonable price for fixing your car, just go to look for Roland. He always finishes the job as promised and never let me down. Highly recommend!”

“Nick and his team are the best!
I’d been dealing with a noise and warning light for weeks and even spent $1,500 at another shop with no fix. Nick found the problem right away and took care of it.
My car runs so smooth now!
It’s a small family business, and his wife, who helps with the financial side, is super kind and welcoming. The whole experience was great from start to finish.
This is definitely my go-to auto repair shop!
Highly recommended!”
