We visited here on a very hot day in July. Vickie was our wonderful guide for the day. We arranged our visit over text with Mark who was very quick to fit us in. I took two teenage boys along with the husband who all throughly enjoyed looking at all the cars, hundreds of gasoline pumps, with many from days gone by, along with a lot of petroliana. Even though we are British we could admire the massive collection including the history of the racing family. Such a unique visit and worth arranging a visit if you are in the area. You will not be disappointed.

Wow, wow,wow this museum is awesome! There are so many classic signs and gas pumps to look at as well as other automotive paraphernalia. There are no walk-ins, you must schedule a tour and the tour will last 1.5 hours. I thought 1.5 hours sounded very long but the time absolutely flew by. There is so much to see you can't really take it all in. I will be back again with my friends some time in the near future. Thank you for such a wonderful tour.

Was here for a food event and LOVED seeing all the fun signs, pumps, cars, etc. Like going back in time to see what has to be the best collection in the world of stuff like this. So colorful and great for photos. I read it's $15 bucks and by appointment only so get to it! How about putting in one of those old fashioned draft beer pumps and serve a brew or two there?

Now I understand why people could explain this museum to me.Back story....father own a gas station in Buellton. Sold it and went on the road with a truck and now considered one of the first American pickers for he collected gas and race car memorabilia.15 rooms in this private museum...also serving as a venue for events.

Super Memory Lane..... I don't know how many times I said " I Remember That, I Remember That, I Remember That, " If your over 65 you grew up with this stuff , If your under 65 great walk through history . Mark and Vickie are great people and Vickie gave me an Owesome tour "Thank You Very Much " Best afternoon I've had in years. We talked about everything from Ascot to the Buffalo on Catalina Island .At the end of the tour Mark said " Oh by the way we charge by the picture !!! " :) I'm glad he was joking I took 476 pictures and could have take 400 more . "Can't wait until I'm in the area again so I can go back and take those other 400 pictures". Cost of the Tour PRICELESS !!! Bring your camera..... Thanks again Jeff, Long Beach Ca.

In Buelton with a group of Corvette folks. The event (primarily judging vintage Corvettes for originality) The Menedhall Museum is a special place (filled with gasoline memorabilia and other display pieces related to an earlier time period). If you enjoy remembering early "roadside" signage you should try to visit if you're in Central California.

A hidden gem for sure. This family was kind enough to open their land and show us around. Tours are by appointment only. There is so much to see and appreciate. Such an amazing collection, story, and part of history. Glad we checked this place out, recommend for sure!

This place is RAD!!!! I don't know what else to say. If you ever get an opportunity to visit take it. The Mendenhalls are the coolest and they've got about every sign and gas pump ever manufactured along with a bunch of other cool relics. It's a must visit in Buellton.
