My son had his crappie cp4 fuel pump replaced n his Silvardo 2500 with a MUCH better cp3 fuel pump. The first pump used was defective, but they stuck with it and figured out the problem. They replaced it with a second cp3, and all is good. Those fuel pump replacements are not easy, but they did a great job. They know their stuff and handle most of the diesel work in the area. Great mechanics!!!!

Richard is my first stop for any issues with my diesel trucks. Richard and his staff are top-notch and know their way around these trucks. When the dealers can't figure it out, they have been able to fix the issues on my trucks. I highly recommend Richard's shop for all your truck mechanical issues.

What a great shop if you have a diesel truck! Rich and his crew are VERY knowledgeable. I just had an annoying message on my Ram information center. They had me fixed up before breakfast was over! I would highly recommend if you're in the area.

I was on a camping trip close by when I had an issue with my F350 Diesel. I called Rich's and they were extremely helpful and made time for me that day. He had a part in stock that is on nationwide backorder with Ford. They got me safely back on the road in 15 minutes. Next time I'm out that way, I'm buying some sweatshirts from him. Couldn't have had a better experience. Thank you!

I had a problem with my turbo and couldn't figure it out. Went to Rich's because I heard it was a good place and I can't recommend his business enough! Very fair and down to earth: reasonable. I rarely, if ever, post but I felt so strongly that here is my testimony. Highly recommend this business for all diesel owners

I was heading north on the 101 in my F350 and blew out the radiator going up Gaviota pass. Called Rich’s and they happen to have my radiator. I babied the truck to their location. I changed out the radiator and was on the road within 2 hours. I’m so glad these guys had the part. They were great to work with. After speaking to Rich and his mechanics I’ve decided this is where I will bring my truck.

I wanted to install a CP3 pump in my 2016 Silverado diesel. Everyone I contacted in SLO steered me to Rich's Performance Diesel. He ordered the pump kit and installed it. I developed a minor problem. When I spoke to Rick he told me to bring it in. He even made arrangements so I wouldn't have to drive all the way to Buellton. Got my truck back the very next day. I believe Rich to be an honest, stand-up guy. He went out of his way to satisfy me. If you have a Silverado with the Duramax diesel with the CP4 pump and you want to have the CP3 pump installed, which is approved by the State of California, I recommend Rich's Performance Diesel.

I had the good fortune to break down on my way from Encinitas to the Central Coast on a much needed camping trip. I was able to get a site for my trailer at Flying Flags and first thing Monday morning I dropped my truck off at Rick’s. I left relieved after Rick and his Cummins specialist went over possible solutions to getting me back on the road. Truck was ready by the afternoon and I can’t thank them enough. Extremely honest, competent and very fair with billing. It’s also comforting to know that on my travels I have them if truck acts up.

It was Sunday and we were able to get a site at Flying Flags and Monday morning I dropped my truck off and had a short walk bac to the RV park. Rick is extremely knowledgeable and while checking It out with his Cummins specialist at the drop off I left much relieved. Got the truck back that afternoon. I really enjoyed chatting with Rick and it's comforting knowing that on travels north to south I have a place that can work on my truck. Truck is a 1998 Dodge with 12 valve Cummins and through my lengthy ownership I've learned the value of a good mechanic.
