In update when rent is due going on 5 days. No step by step on how to set up. Half of the time I call on a regular basis they can't find me in their system after 7yrs you guys made a mess and I expect way more help with no more delay and all out accounts transactions current. I Hope update was worth it last month in this branch I cannot risk being evicted. closing my account. Update Nov 7th I called the new numbers and she said she couldn't help me

I am so disappointed with a software update, several days of no access to account then wait again then Zelle won’t work right once I’m able to get half way thru showing extra 3 numbers which is not even mine, your software update is not even helpful and made it more inconvenience , the old app was way easier access
I’m done very stressful .

3/1/2024 = 1 Star = Still good costumer service but too slow on approving my new loan, im very very disappointed, i been member here since 2008 , i got 4th loan in this bank and never missed any payment , try on my 5th loan until now is still pending , they don't recognized your history of your payment, i went for another union bank and in 3 days i got my approval , from now on i will never recommend this bank .2019 = 5 Star = Very Nice costumer service so far and good thing is Low interest on car loan.

Steve's professional service on my loan was excellent from beginning to the close. Steve Negrete and his team were first rate. This is why I've always been a fan of credit unions and American First CU is one of the best. You owe yourself a favor to open an account and try them out. You will be very happy you did. Ask for Steve if you want superb consulting and follow through and n loan solutions !

Shout out to Steven N. , he was extremely helpful and made my loan super easy to get. He was very informative and knowledgeable making sure I felt confrontable making the correct choice in my loan options based on my goals. He was always available if I had any questions or concerns with educated answers. Would be a zero star. I was just robbed by this bank. Opened checking and savings account a few years ago. Never used the account. Put in $50 just so I could have a credit union. My aunt brought me here because she has been going their since the 80's. Came in today to open an account for my son. I was told that they closed my account for no activity. I WAS NEVER TOLD WHEN I OPENED THE ACCOUNT THAT THEY WILL CLOSE IT DUE TO NO INACTIVITY. Then they took my $50 dollars and transferred it into my savings account. And charged me $10 a month for the savings account because I had no checking account. (Because they closed it). I NEVER gave them permission to move my money into my savings account. They should have just mailed me a check back to my house. How dare they move my money and then charge me. So I am telling everyone I know who banks here to watch their accounts since they steal money. Disgusting. And the teller I dealt with, Steve (I think) told me with an attitude. "You did get statements to the house right)? Soooooo there you go. Thought this was a better place then those main banks. But NOPE. stole my money and had an attitude about it.

I just did a refinance through the American First Credit Union, Buena Park Branch Real Estate Division and I had a great experience. Being self employed is exhausting when applying for a loan, but Steven Negrete patiently walked me through every step. He was kind, helpful, prompt and answered the phone almost every time that I called. Processor Guadalupe Deocampo was also amazing. Her hard work helped us get to the finish line. Thank you so much to the staff at AFCU! Highly recommended by me!

This is the worst bank I have ever used. DO NOT USE THEM! I have had nothing but problems from day 1 with them. From them losing my title paperwork which delayed my registration for 3 months, to charging me extra money for insurance because of that... they have the worst customer service in the world. I have to call them for a new problem every single month and I've only had a loan with them for 6 months now... Not to mention every time I speak with someone I have to get their name because multiple times now I thought issues were resolved and then found out the representmotives I spoke to never even made notes on my account... I would rate 0 if I could.

Absolutely terrible institution with terrible customer service-if I could give negative stars I would. I live in Southern California and after putting me through an exhausting verification process on the phone and successfully validating myself they tell me that since I live in California and since there isn't a physical branch here they wont be able to approve my membership. This is beyond ridiculous. If you don't want people who live in California state that on your website up front so people don't have to waste their time. The reps had an attitude problem and their tone was disrespectful on top of that. I don't know why anyone would want to join this terrible credit union. I would advise everyone to STAY FAR AWAY FROM AMERICA FIRST CU!!!
