I was helping my elderly aunt move from California to Minnesota. I contacted Merit Moving Systems/United for a quote. Joe Almeida came out and provided a quote. We also got quotes from a couple of other national moving companies. My Aunt ultimately wanted to use a moving company with a local agent that was closer to her house in La Crescenta.
Even though I could not convince her to use MMS and United, Joe provided the low bid for the move and did so professionally. I also researched the local agents we were considering and found MMS to have the highest ratings. If it had been my decision, I would have used Joe and MMS/United.

I used Merit Moving recently to move to CA. The Merit Moving team was extremely helpful and approachable, and was very deliberate and careful with taking inventory and organizing the move. The team was incredibly helpful with answering all my questions and keeping me updated. The whole moving process went smoothly. Alyson Mattox and the team at Merit Moving did an outstanding job in coordinating my out-of-state move, 1100 miles away. They were available to answer all questions and address all concerns. My items arrived in Wyoming in perfect condition and I would recommend Merit Moving to anyone needing to move long or short distances. A special shout-out to Team Leader and Driver Frank, from Los Angeles, who, like Alyson, performed his job with professionalism and a friendly manner. 5 Stars!!

Lisa was fantastic as our coordinator--super helpful and kind, even with all my random questions. David and his crew were on time, polite, and very careful with our stuff. They even packed everything up for us, which made the move so much easier. Everything arrived safely, and we'd definitely use them again!
