This is a fun place to eat and great service. This restaurant started it all for the making of Knott’s Berry Farm. The fried chicken is the favorite and also has the chicken fried steak. Soups and salads stated good. Also don’t forget some Apple pie take it to go and stop by the Cable Car Kitchen for some ice cream on top.

I ordered the classic chicken dinner. I was so surprised by the amount of food I received for $26.50! It came with half of a fried chicken (breast, wing, thigh, and drumstick}, house salad with choice of dressing, chicken noodle soup, bread with boysenberry jam, mashed potatoes with gravy, corn or cabbage seasoned with ham , and a piece of apple or boysenberry pie. Everything tasted good. The chicken was super crispy on the outside and juicy inside. However, it wasn't the most favorable I've ever had. The mashed potatoes were a little dry and the gravy a little bland. Salt and pepper fix that, though. The corn tasted pretty fresh and the bread was fresh and soft. The bread was served with their delicious famous boysenberry jam.It was a nice experience but it's not something I would go out of my way to go to or order again. The chicken noodle soup it came with was super delicious, though. I had the boysenberry pie and that was tasty. The crust was a little thick, so a side of ice cream would have complimented that really well.My daughter and husband ordered the chicken tender meal with mashed potatoes. If you don't like gravy, you need to request no gravy on the mashed potatoes.Overall, it was a great experience with super friendly service.Kid-friendliness: Very relaxed atmosphere for the entire family.

We had others with us on 4-7-2024 for dinner. Since the mid 90's the restaurant was always the place to go for dinner. Since then the remodel has secluded patrons to all eat at miss Knott's. This last visit the chicken was very dry and when I said all our plates need to go back. I was told by the waitress that the chicken is always like that. I would hope the company would Reider rate that statement. Miss Knott's would be flipping in her grave since her restaurant has gone down hill and over priced.

They said to wait 5-10min to be seated but we waited half and hour! we have 6 kids with us there are plenty of empty tables they could’ve give to us there’s even two groups of costumers who came after us they were served before us. And after we were seated we waited again for another hours for our food! And thats not it! It was my sisters birthday so i came to the front desk to request for anything she could blow a candle for the kids to sing on her birthday because she love the kids so much and this is one time get together because we just came here for a vacation. But you know what the front desk told me?! You have to go to bakery buy a cake there and put it on you’re table. Sooo rude old lady! Definitely not coming back again and won’t recommend to any of my friends!!

I don’t know if it’s just me but I remember the food from Ms. Knott’s chicken place used to be better back in. They give you a lot of food but it’s not worth the price, the flavor is muddled. Servers are overall good but sometimes you get a “Squidward”. If you want better food, go to Ghost Town Grill when it’s open

Wow. The dinners are very worth the price. Soup salad dinner with 2 sides and dessert. The fried chicken so yummy and not greasy at all. Roasted chicken is very tasty. You will have a wait when you come here but the place is bigger then you think 4 separate rooms and a bar . They are cashless but there are signs in many places to tell you this. While you are waiting for your table explore the other stores.10/10 if I could.Kid-friendliness: Family friendly

Something has changed about the quality of the food here. The last two times we dined here were so disappointing. The biscuits were all mushy inside, just raw dough, and even left a nasty aftertaste . The chicken noodle soup was too salty. The Mac cheese had a weird texture and didn’t taste good at all. The grilled chicken had no flavor, but what was most upsetting is it was undercooked in some parts. Same with the fried chicken strips- Undercooked. The mashed potatoes were rubbery, like mozzarella cheese on a pizza. The salad was just ok. The corn was floating in a bowl of water, weird. This used to be the best place to eat when visiting Knotts, but sadly the quality of the food has dropped. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I hope the management would investigate and make changes in the kitchen.

The service and atmosphere is great. The food isn’t bad, just wish my chicken would come out warmer and less chewy. The biscuits are delicious especially with the butter and boysenberry jamParking: You can get your parking validated if you asking for a ticket upon entry into the parking lot and have it stamped as you leave the restaurant

I came here with my family for my birthday dinner. The chicken and biscuits taste the same, and I've been going here for over 40 years.

I am stupefied by the food ratings people have given. My daughter and I ate here last night and it's just gross. She had the broiled chicken and I ordered the BBQ pork. You get a salad and soup and corn but the chicken noodle soup was thick and obviously had been sitting a while. The salad was fine but only 3 dressing options and make sure you ask for it on the side or they will have your lettuce floating in dressing. The biscuits were the best part of the meal. However, the jam that came on the side had solidified into an inseparable lump. It had obviously been dished up a while back. The main course was just ok. Definitely not worth $26 each. They brought all the food at once which allowed the hot things to get cold and the cold things to get warm but I guess that's the kitchens idea of family style? Also, the restaurant was dirty and had a smell that made me think they need to do a deep clean. The staff was friendly but we received the wrong drinks. I think this place has gotten by on name recognition for so long they have ruined what was once a good thing.

I have celiac disease and specifically requested that the meal I recieve to be gluten-free, which as many celiac-havers also experience, I will have a severe and near-immediate allergic reaction to anything I ingest that contains gluten. I had a chicken tender meal, and while the chicken they served itself *was* gluten free, it was essentially a bunch of chicken nuggets. EVERYTHING else they offered me at this restaurant- salad, sauce, side dishes, all contained gluten so I was unable to eat them. The server was also completely clueless as to what gluten-free is, which is frankly abysmal for a food service worker. There is two (2) items to choose from for gluten-free options, one of which is a salad. After I left the restaurant, even after being careful about what I was eating, I still broke out into a rash only a short three hours later, which tells me all of their GF items are also cross-contaminated with wheat/gluten items. I cannot recommend eating here with a food allergy. Also the bathrooms smelled horrendous. Really the only nice thing I can say is that the decor and overall theming is cute.Dietary restrictions: Two gluten-free menu options. Do not eat the side dishes if you have a gluten allergy.
