Shocking incident on a recent visit. My mother went for groceries here the other day. She has a disability with motion and strength deficits of her arm and hand. At the register, she asked if she could get some help bagging the groceries (this place doesn’t have baggers). The lady at the register made rude comments about her disability, stating she shouldn’t be there shopping with the type of disability she has. She was belittled and humiliated in front of other customers as well.
What??? I’ve never seen such a blatant act of discrimination against a person with disabilities. Discrimination against any person, including those with disabilities, is ILLEGAL in the United States. We’ve since hired a lawyer regarding this incident.

Zionmark, lady, I’m scared.
This is number 1 in unfriendliness.
The lady called the manager is really unfriendly. Will I ever reflect on this?
It may be difficult, but change your personality. Or you can just show up at home...

I would put 0 rating… are you serious?? This lady as i entered to shop, stopped me saying never wear this sandal again. Wth!! No one stops me for wearing sandal at Ralphs or at Albertson. I didn’t plan on shopping but i realized that i needed something so i just quickly wanted to pick up some stuff. I said politely ok ok then went on shopping but she kept still talking in my back with other older Korean ladies. How rude to do that. When i was at the register to pay at the end, this cashier wasn’t sure about the price of a persimmon box. And the cashier called out that lady who stopped me for wearing sandal. So apparently that women who told me not to wear sandal was the manager. And this manager was literally bitching at the cashier for not remembering the price correctly , right in front’s of customer. Ridiculous….
Ans this happened between 11:15-11:25 am on January 13th, 2025.
Can’t believe she stopped a customer who went in sandal (i am not even teenager i am in my late 40’s and she can’t talk to me las if were a teenager… ridiculous….
I am not going to shop at Zion anymore…
You guys are losing customers….. hire better manager who knows better.

Buena Park Zion mart is selling expired frozen food.
Make sure to check expiration date before you purchase

This is 1 of 3 go-to-places to get Asian groceries in this area. This supermarket is clean, bright and well stocked. Prices used to be the best but everything have gone up to H-Mart level after renovations. Therefore, in terms of value, all 3 supermarkets are on on par and I can't recommend 1 over the others. I think Hanam Chain probably has the lowest prices vs. Zion and H-Mart "on average" but it depends on what you buy.

Watch out. They sell food with MOLD. The manager is super rude and doesn't even apologize.
I sold it with Ace/Poto, who kept it at room temperature, and when I called to say it was moldy, I will boycott Zion in the future because of the rude manager who said it was the customer's fault for storing it incorrectly.
This is the first time in my life that I have ever seen a manager who displays and sells food that needs to be refrigerated/frozen on the floor and says, "We took it out of the freezer and took it out. Is there anyone who didn't keep it in the freezer and complained about mold?"
I was so upset that I called San Diego Zion and asked if the snacks they were promoting at Laco were refrigerated/frozen. They said they were sold on the floor and kindly told me that they would only be kept refrigerated/frozen once. He explains.
When I told them this at other branches, they ignored me and said they didn't even sell that product. At another branch, they told me exactly "Hwagwabang cookie gift set" while checking the price. On what basis do they say that other branches don't even sell it?
Don’t you know what happens if you play with your food? Just looking at the reviews, it seems like they routinely sell expired food, so don't play with the food you eat.
Products that need to be stored in the refrigerator/frozen. Store refrigerated/frozen before selling. Don't sell products that can be stored at room temperature and in a dipped format, then blame the customers and speak informally.
This product is sealed with tape in an invisible box. They say they were humiliated by giving a moldy product as a gift, and seeing that they secretly cut it open with a knife before giving it to them and said it was the customer's fault for giving it to them without checking, it doesn't seem like they are people with a normal way of thinking.
I didn't want to be the same person, so I treated myself with respect until the end. When I asked the person answering the phone what his name was, he seemed scared and never said his name. He said that there are several store managers here, so come by any time and they will solve the problem. If you are so proud, please state your name and get to work.

Don’t go here unless you want to get scammed. I used to come here pretty often since they have a lot of sales going on and the prices are generally cheaper than other markets. However, they sell expired items for a discounted prices!!! I bought a Korean cookie set for the holiday as a gift and found out that the cookies were molded. When I called and complained, one of the floor managers was soooooo rude and said that it was my fault for not keeping it in the fridge. AND it doesn’t even say that it’s fridge recommended on the box. This wasn’t the first time. I saw that they were selling three months expired peppero during the peppero season. They should be giving out expired foods for free instead of lying to customers and selling them. Never coming back and so should you.
