The car I picked up was dirty from the inside and when I let the attendant know, he wouldn’t believe me nor offer me a replacement with the excuse all others are EVs and they are low on charge. Plus the car I got had center console problems (wouldn’t turn on or was inconsistent in pairing with iPhone) which made driving on the highways dangerous.

Impossible to talk to a rep, they never answer the phone even if you spend an hour getting transferred back. Will never use Avis again.

We had prepaid and reserved a specific vehicle type earlier this week. However, upon arrival and after waiting for over 40 minutes past pick up time, we were informed that the specific vehicle type was not available. We were offered a different vehicle that was a lower tier, but no offer of compensation or fare difference since we had prepaid. I’m not sure how that makes sense for a customer to be penalized for prepaying and reserving a vehicle ahead of time. The counter agent was rude and did not offer any accommodations otherwise. I had asked if we could have a receipt if we canceled and was told in a condescending manner “if you don’t take a vehicle, how can I give you a receipt?”. Also “you’re shaking your head no, but you take this one or you don’t get a car”. Iunderstand it was late and past their hours (11pm), but it’s frustrating as a customer to not be refunded the difference between the two cars and the car not being available in the first place. You would think they have better management and insight into their inventory.The preferred booth also closes early (was closed at 10:15pm). This was probably one of the worst rental experiences I have ever had. I am hesitant to book with Avis again. Customer service here is atrocious. Finally out at 11:45 pm

The staff here are great which is the most important part. The car was a nice EV, fun to drive however it was difficult to find a place to charge because the charging stations were all so busy. Usually full and with a line of people sitting there waiting for an opening. So unless you have 3+ hours to burn sitting around and then charging your car, you’re out of luck. So although it’s a nice car I probably wouldn’t get an EV again.

This is the worst car rental experience ever. Firstly, the car that is given to me was dirty inside and outside and it was around 65k miles and it did not feel reliable to me.Second, When I arrive to airport I entered the 3rd floor of rental drop off area. There was no way to exit and I stuck at that point for hours. Then I went to AVIS office, they did not care about me at all. They did not even try to help me. Somehow I dropped to car in a proper way but the stress I was feeling about whole process is terrible.

This was by far one of the worst renting experiences that I have had. The first car that I received had the check engine light came on during my drive. I had to swap out the car only to get an electric car with no introduction or any walkthrough on how to use it. Not to mention, when calling the national line for assistance, they were not helpful at all nor could I hear them on the line. The car was still wrapped and very dirty inside and out, but this was the only car available. Having to charge the car every 2 hours for an hour was NOT enjoyable not worth the headache. It added an additional 6 hours to my commute back home. I do not recommend and will not recommend Avis to anyone going forward. The customer service was abysmal and they made no efforts to make it better. AND extra fees were added to extend my rental since I could not make the drop off time due to all of the charging delays. You will literally be paying to be inconvenienced.

First, the additional fees at this location can be a deterrent from renting here. Also, we understand that this location may not get much traffic (we were only customers in line) but the rep at the counter didn't bother to look up from her phone to stand and greet us. We were basically having a conversation with her head (the counter is high so we could only see her from the chin up). However, the return was easy breezy and I appreciated that on a rainy day.

They charged 189$ for refueling half a tank of gas on a minivan! Absolutely horrible experience. This was my first time and I should have just stuck to National/Enterprise.

The car received was a Chevy Malibu. The car worked fine. The steering wheel was honestly disgusting and not clean because you can feel that it was sticky with someone else’s sweaty hands, juice, or just plain dirty. I would have at least expected the vehicle to be cleaned before it was given to a new driver.For the AVIS itself, there is just a lack of pricing transparency that makes me feel like this is deceptive pricing. Online you can generate a price and then once you’re at the front desk at the airport to pick up the car, there is suddenly an extra $110+ charge in undisclosed fees that are generically labeled and never specific as to what the service charges are for. You then want to just hurry up and have no choice but to accept charges because you have to leave already. They’re all usually rather short staffed or slow when waiting to pick up a car.

Difficult to locate at Burbon
