Has everything including a cat. Recent discovery, but I've been here a few times in the past couple weeks and they had things that Home Depot and Lowe's didn't. So far, they've had the random things I needed, plus they have been helpful. They have a lot of staff available on the floor doing different things so there's always someone available to answer questions. It's been a good find and I'll keep coming here. Just be mindful of the cat. Don't let it out and don't feed it! :D

I've been shopping here for years. Always try to spend my money at local places instead of the big box stores. The customer service I received today was horrible at the returns counter. Lori and Nicolette were downright rude and surly and I'm not sure why? Maybe I interrupted their important conversation? As a customer I expect to be treated civilly and with respect. Next time I guess it's Home Depot where I know what the experience will be. Very disappointed in DIY.

Staff is helpful in the aisle and the cashiers seem to be hired on the ability to be dour and cranky.

Awesome store! It's always a good experience going here. The prices are great, and the staff is always ready and available to give valuable assistance and information. Thank you to Robert who gave us excellent advice on an appliance. Five stars!

I loved this store until today when I came in to exchange one color stain for another (even exchange). Admittedly I didn't have my receipt, but I just bought this a few days ago and did not use it. They said their system was down and I was welcome to buy another one and return this one on another trip, when the system was working again. Personally this isn't a reasonable thing to ask a customer who is in the store, now. Perhaps if I was trying to return something spendy for something else, like a circular saw for a dremel tool, then maybe this would make sense? For a $10 even exchange (same brand, size, type/different color stain), asking me to buy it again and come back later is just dumb. I spoke with a manager and he offered me a dollar off repurchasing "for my inconvenience." A dollar doesn't even buy a candy bar today, and definitely doesn't cover my time to come into the store. I went to my car and then came back in; definitely in a huff, and went to find the one I wanted; and it felt ridiculous to stand there with a purchased can and the one I actually wanted so I switched them and left. The manager followed me out to the street and accused me of using the product I returned, which was in the exact same condition. Maybe I shouldn't have purchased a scraped label can of stain, but again there wasn't another option. Before that though, they should never have shelved a scraped label can they viewed as "used." Awful customer service; great selection. I want to support small local businesses but hassles like this don't tip the scales in their favor. This is such a bummer to write.

Prices are more expensive than local competitors and if you ask them to price match the managers are rude each manager has a different set of rules other diy centers customer service is 10x better

What is the purpose of you guys selling cinderblock? If all you're gonna do is take it and use it for more plants that you guys want to put out on display in the garden area. You can't go and buy an actual face for your flowers to sit on You're gonna go ahead and use all of the cinderblocks and then have your inventory. Still sure that you guys have it in stock but you guys didn't actually purchase it for the store so your inventory is off and you make people drive all the way to your store just to be told no we're using it. I don't think the owners of the company intended to carry inventory to be used in the store. It was intended to be sold to customers who come into your store. And that female manager yeah I wish I remembered your name.

Convenient but over priced, great for locals if you want to avoid the big boy hardware stores like Home Depot

the selection here is great but man these employees are RUDE and MEAN as soon as you say you want to price match. they throw a huge fit and begrudgingly do it for you. everyone on the floor is very helpful but they need new cashiers, especially the old women that work here. i'd rather go to home depot than come here anymore even if it's out of the way. i tried to support local businesses, but for what if they're just going to be mean and rude to you

This is the worst place to buy home goods, house repair items, and construction materials. It is very overpriced, the employees are not knowledgeable, helpful, or kind. Its gets 2 starts from me because it located on my block and walking there is really nice, but every time I get home I wish I had driven to another store. This place just sucks

This is a great resource for the community. Literally just down the street. The people there are wonderful. I've bought things there and saw the same thing at a big box home store for the same or more. And if you are willing to admit to being over a certain age, you get a discount. Best thing is that you can go in, find what you need, and get out without a search party having to go out to find you. Definitely a right-size store. Good selection, and occasionally there is that odd-ball fitting or part you need that the big buys don't carry. Some people here say the people aren't helpful or friendly, that is not the case, and even if you have a bad experience you don't have to wander around a warehouse store to find someone that will give you the same experience. You can't be in business without the occasional goof or difficult customer that will always be unhappy. DIY is the best. If you are out in the west valley, check out their store in Chattsworth that used toe be an OSH. Much bigger store but still not too big. And say hi to the cats.

They've been great when I've needed to return or exchange anything. I mean this in a really good way -- it feels like a neighborhood mom and pop store, despite the fact that it's a large store with tons of products! I skip the larger retail home improvement stores to check here first, and I'm usually very happy with what I find. Cool place!
