Never again! *Legitimately scammed*Rented a car for one day. 2pm pick up - 8am next day return. I refilled the tank and returned the car at 10pm same day as I didn’t need it over night anymore, 10 hours before before my scheduled return time on my rental agreement. They did not scan my car back in the next day until 5 pm!I get my email receipt and it has:2 day rental chargeLate fee charge2 road side assistance changers (never used)2 “damage waiver lost” charges (??)$25 charge for refuel. And a few other miscellaneous fees that have no detail. In total about $185 is additional charges above the initial rental payment, all for fraudulent fees and services.I call them to dispute and they tell me I need proof that I didn’t drop off the car at the time they scanned it. I tell them to check there cameras the night before my return time to see me dropping it off. I tell them I wasn’t even in Burbank at the time the car was scanned back as returned. They say nothing they can do. They waited 18 hours to scan the car as returned to charge me almost 3x original rental price.Total scam do not trust this company!!

Awful car rental company AVOID - we paid more to book a bigger car as we’re travelling with our 2 year old and they gave us a Toyota Camry saying that it was all that was available. That with a TERRIBLE attitude and 0 apology. Much better car rental companies with similar or better prices and plenty of brand new inventory.

Disgusting scamming car rental company. Booked online for pick up at 9:30pm which was a listed time. Upon arrival from a different state at 9:23pm my email says the pick up time was 7pm, which is impossible if my flight left at 7:12pm. Called to get a refund and was refused. Don’t rent a car from here unless you want your money taken without remorse. disgusting scamming liars.

The check in/check out process was super easy and the staff was nice. I called letting them know that my flight was delayed and that j would be there right at/ right after closing, and they made sure to keep somebody up there so we could get our car. Could not recommend more!

I recently had a rather disappointing experience with Fox rental car at Burbank airport. Despite arriving one hour early, I was faced with an unexpected dilemma - either pay extra to upgrade or wait for an hour to get my car. This was a first for me, as every other rental car company I've dealt with in the past has always welcomed early arrivals without any additional charges. While the car rental associate, Cris, was polite during our interaction, it was disheartening to be told that I had to pay extra if I wanted to get my car one hour early. This unexpected request left a sour taste in my mouth and certainly did not make me feel valued as a customer. It's important for companies to prioritize customer satisfaction and accommodate early arrivals whenever possible. Unfortunately, Fox rental car fell short in this aspect. I believe that a customer's eagerness to start their journey should be appreciated, not met with additional charges or unnecessary waiting times. On a positive note, I do want to acknowledge Cris for his polite demeanor. It's clear that he was doing his best within the guidelines set by the company. However, the overall experience left me disappointed and questioning the policies of Fox rental car.In conclusion, I would not recommend Fox rental car at Burbank airport based on my recent experience. I hope that in the future, they reevaluate their policies to better accommodate early arrivals, as many other rental car companies do.

Absolutely shit company. We rented a jeep and they gave us a beat up mini van. I kid you not the mini van had full 360 degree scratches. When I confronted the guy at the front he had a programmed response which could only come from being in that situation repeatedly.

Sorry excuse for a rental company. Book 2 months in advance but had no car when getting to location had to wait an hour for something to be available. When I returned the car the female attendant was engrossed in conversation with a male employee and told me I'm good she would email receipt. 8 hrs later nothing showed up so called to get receipt. Now 2 days later I get a random charge of $128 for gas even though the Tank was Full and I have the receipts.VERY DISHONEST COMPANY!!!The counter help also lie about what u need for car such as toll tag insurance etc. I'm from here so while waiting an hour for car I listened to the BS lies they told the customers

This is my first and last time I rent from FOX. I arrived 30 min early and was told that i have ot wait for 30 min to make sure that people ahead of me get the cars. They tried to upsell to a bigger car if I do not want to wait. I decided to wait. No other customers approached within 30 min. And the lot was full with the cars in the category I rented. I believe that was just a pretty bad and dishonest upsell strategy. They lost me as a client. Do not recommend FOX. Yes they are cheaper but I rather pay extra and not to deal with shady company.

This is the worst company ever of rental car !!!!! They totally ripped me off, I said I didn’t want insurance and the guy just told me it was mandatory (but it wasn’t ) so he added 700$ of insurance fees and after he charged me of a road pass to go to San Francisco for 8 days but I just told him I will go I San Francisco by train one day…he took advantage of the fact I don’t speak English well, he pushed to me to sign quickly the document without the time I can read it because some people were waiting behind me…. It’s a MAFIA, they are all lier to make you pay the max they can !!!! They are doing all illegal stuffs and they protect each others !!!! I repeat : dont go there they are the worst !!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a reservation there and showed up a little early. The Southwest flight was ahead of schedule. The Attendant said firmly, "Your early. Your going to have to wait for an hour." I told her when I show up early with the other rental car companies, they just find a suitable replacement. She said that they could do it but it would be $160 more and asked if I wanted to cancel the reservation. I said What kind of with a higher voice and the Manger step in and said do not raise your voice to our Attendant. I told him Fox rental car was lousy and he said go somewhere else were not renting to you. Avoid that company!!!!!

I reserved a car a month in advance, but they didn't have one when I got there. They delayed me over an hour, then ended up giving me a mini car than when I reserved an SUV. Not to mention the car was in poor condition. If I hadn't taken it I would have been delayed even longer. There were no other options because all the other rental companies were sold out by then.Try to avoid Fox if you can.

There was some good here and I liked the small SUV I rented. However, they do have some unsettling business practices. For one, when I booked the vehicle online, I declined any type of insurance. When I went to pick it up, the person at the desk asked if I wanted the basic insurance or the upgrade. Thinking these were my only two options I chose the basic, thinking that's what I already selected. The problem is I didn't choose either one earlier. So I had to pay over $100 more. When I caught this and the person checking me out explained it, I went with it since it'd absolve me from any damage charges. The kicker is when I brought the vehicle back, a different employee was fervently looking for anything to charge me with. He said that because there was dirt in the door jams, they'd charge me for that. I said I could just quickly clean them, which I did in under a minute with a disinfectant wipe.I told him I purchased the insurance and I shouldn't be charged for it anyway. He asked to see my receipt, I showed him, then he confirmed I was correct. When the cleaner came back, I asked if I needed to clean anything else as I didn't want hidden charges and he said he could take care of everything. The other employee said if the cleaner was there when I originally came in, he wouldn't have had me clean it.Then when I looked on the receipt diagram, he marked a scratch on the right side. There was no scratch, it was just dirt that could've been wiped off if he brought it to my attention first. You have to purchase the insurance here as they go out of their way to look for things to charge you with when you return the vehicle.

I don’t recommend!! I paid in full for a Compact SUV. I was offered whatever was available, a sedan or a dodge charger. There was no reason explained why the car I paid for was not available. Basically they had my money and I had to accept what they gave me. I called customer support.. they could not help me with my reservation. I ended up with a sedan KIA. My rental charges were not adjusted. I am never going to use the company again. I also learned not to pre-Pay for advanced purchases.

RENTER BEWARE OF TYTUS. The Fox representative named Tytus at the Fox rental car location at Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, CA should not be employed here if Fox wants repeat business. Below is the email I sent to Fox customer service about the incident. Hello,I recently had a HORRIBLE experience with the Fox rep Tytus at your Bob Hope Airport location. I was speaking with him to try and clear up an issue with various charges on a bill and he kept cutting me off saying in a raised voice, "You need to stop talking. You got your turn to talk, now it's my turn." When I tried to explain that what I was trying to tell him was relevant to resolving the issue he kept cutting me off. I was eventually exasperated by his behaviour and said, "Sir I don't understand why you're being so rude to me." He then said, "YOU'RE being rude " and continued to make rude remarks all completely unhelpful to the situation. He was so horrible we ended up returning the car and renting through Enterprise instead. I also want to note that at no point in this conversation did I use profanity or raise my voice.
