I recommend customer service staff remember what they have in the shop when a customer asks for something. If you don’t remember what you have don’t send the customer to another shop (especially when you have what customer seeks). Instead say “I don’t know” or “Let me check it”.

Terrible Customer Service and Misleading Return Policy

I recently purchased a drain cleaner from Harbor Freight, and my experience was beyond disappointing. At the time of purchase, I was assured by the staff that if the item was unused, I could return it with no issues. However, when I attempted to return the brand-new, unopened product, I was met with outright refusal.
To make matters worse, the manager, David, was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Instead of addressing the situation with understanding or offering a solution, he was dismissive and nasty. It’s unacceptable to treat customers this way, especially when the issue stems from misleading information provided by the store itself.
I’ve shopped at Harbor Freight before, but this experience has left a sour taste in my mouth. The lack of integrity in honoring their return policy and the poor attitude of the staff, particularly David, has made me reconsider ever shopping here again. Save yourself the hassle and shop elsewhere.
