Cars are never ready. You have to wait for them to wash and vac them. This is after you've waited a half hour while they've served 2 other customers, wash and vaccuuming those cars too. So plan on 45 mins minimum to pick up a car.

rented an SUV for the weekend and it was so freaking dirty. first thing I did was take it home and clean it. had red wax letters written on the driver side window. there was a spilled chocolate drink all over the console. I was shocked how dirty this thing was inside and out. besides the fact that I sat there for 2 hours before I could drive away with it

I arrived at the Burbank Hertz and was told they only had a pickup truck. I was told to drive an EV they loaned me to the north Hollywood location and swap it out for a sedan. They said they couldn’t give me any other car besides the truck because they were also reserved. This wasted over an hour of my time and I will be leaving detailed Google reviews for both locations for their poor service. Over 7 years of renting cars I’ve never been asked to drive myself to a second destination and forced to wait for a reservation. Will go to enterprise next time and happily pay more to avoid this.

I thought I’m the only one that been having a bad experience renting a car from this place after seeing those reviews.. been renting like 3 times from this place but for some reason I don’t know why they never clean the car for customers to rent.. from what I saw they only spray the outside car with with water and that’s it…
So I rented a car last week and found the inside so nasty that it still has somebody towel, a bag of leftover asparagus in a bag, a bag of noodle and some other crummy stuff inside the car.. not only that I ended up cleaning the seat, steering wheel with disinfectant wipes and it’s soo gross.. when I told one of the guys working there he did offer me to switch to another car yet I had to go and I’m pretty sure the condition of other cars would basically as dirty as the one I got..
I really hope THE OWNER of this place really take this business serious tho! People spent their money to get what they’re supposed to get; the good service, satisfaction of renting the car n others.. unless they really don’t give a damn about it..
NOTE TO THE OWNER: PLEASE LEVEL UP, TAKE CARE, VALUE YOUR CUSTOMERS, AND TRAIN THE WORKERS TO CLEAN THE RENTAL CARS!

Very disappointing experience. I made a same day reservation on line and went in today (4/15/25) on time (1:00) to retrieve my rental. The employee, a male, informed me they had only electric cars available (not what I wanted) and outside of making one phone call to another location was extremely unhelpful and disinterested in helping me out or at the very least offering a genuine apology for the inconvenience & actually walking out of the office while I called to officially cancel my reservation on a phone number he provided me with. He didn’t stay and see it thru with me and behaved annoyed with my situation.
I have worked customer service for 18 years and know how important customer service and support is to ANY company. This guy had no interest in helping me whatsoever OR the customer ahead of me either.
Take your business to any other rental company… this was a really frustrating experience that borderlined on the disrespectful.

Just had the displeasure dealing with the manager of this location by the name of Mike. Seriously lacking any form of customer etiquette or service. By far one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had renting a car. Not only did I have to deal with a blatantly rude manager, who was completely accommodating or unwilling to even listen to my needs. They then had me go online book my reservation select the manager special because they were supposedly going to give me a discount only to then change my rental to a premium car and charge me full price for the premium car. One of the worst bait switches I’ve ever seen in any business. If you are reading this and are able, avoid renting a car here by any means necessary. This will surely ruin your day.

No one answers the phone, so don’t bother calling. No eye contact or basic social skills, eg sorry for the wait I’ll be right with you, nothing. Waiting about 10 minutes so far and the only person working behind the counter walked off to take care of person ahead of me. He informed her that the tank of her car was empty - nice way to start off a rental- by having to get gas. Oh and it’s not clean. Can’t wait to see what I’m in for, if the guy ever returns.

Had a reservation, came directly from.the airport and was told the system was down and they couldn't rent me a car! They had no idea when the system would be back up. Went to Enterprise down the street where they took care of me right away. I have been a long time customer of Hertz but I will never use them again

I had such a positive experience here. We got the car quickly- we were offered a few choices too. We were not pressured to purchase anything extra. Returning the car was equally easy and there were no surprises.
