I could write paragraphs about how terrible these people are. This was by far the worse experience I’ve ever had with an Apple repair. Joseph Amber (the guy in the service department) is a bold face liar. I witnessed him lie to the face of a customer right in front of me and then lied to my face as well. They don’t keep their word at all. They will tell you everything you need to hear to get your money and take your item but I guarantee you from there here comes the lies. You can give the man a direct quote of something HE SAID and he will literally look you in the eyes and tell you he did not say that. You will either pay more than what they tell you or end up not getting anything fixed at all. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!! THIS IS YOUR SIGN

I had to get a screen repair and it clocked in around 800 bucks. That sucks , but it is what it is. They got it ready a day ahead of schedule, which is nice, faster than apple. But when I picked it up, they said I still owed around 25 more dollars because I had been misquoted originally. Granted, that's not gonna break the bank, but I couldnt get my laptop back before paying the extra amount because the work had been done. Felt kinda like bad business.

Insanely overpriced services. You're better off watching a 2 minute youtube video and taking care of the job yourself.

I recently had a very disappointing experience with this Apple-certified store regarding my 2019 MacBook Pro repair.
In March 2024, I brought my laptop in because it had a battery issue. I was assured that my AppleCare would cover the repair. After a few days, I was informed that there was liquid damage, which I found surprising as my laptop had never been in contact with any liquids. Despite my initial shock, I paid the $299 repair fee because I needed my laptop back in working condition.
Unfortunately, three months later, my laptop refused to turn on again. I brought it back to the Apple Store, where I was told the repeated problem would be taken care of. However, after sending it to their repair center, I was once again told there was liquid damage. This time, the repair cost was quoted at an outrageous $1499, with no AppleCare coverage remaining. I was particularly frustrated when one staff member mentioned “coffee liquid damage,” especially since I do not drink coffee and my laptop has never been exposed to it.
The inconsistency in the diagnosis and the lack of clear communication are unacceptable. The initial repair should have resolved any issues, and I should not have to pay such an exorbitant amount for what appears to be a misdiagnosis or poor initial repair.
I urge others to be cautious when dealing with this store. My experience has been stressful, time-consuming, and financially draining. I expected better service and accountability from an Apple-certified store.

STAY AWAY. SCAMMERS. CON ARTISTS. I brought in my MacBook Pro here because it wouldn't charge and the battery was dead. I paid $75 for them to "diagnose" the problem and it took them a day and a half to find the supposed problem. I can understand that if they are backed up with orders they need a day or two. So after that time I was told over the phone that my battery was bad and it had to be replaced and the cost of the parts was over $700 plus the labor cost of over $100. This seemed ridiculously high and I decided to look online at costs for MacBook batteries. The cost is $250... I did not get the service and I went in to pick up my MacBook. They took a long time to even help me. One gentleman was helping a customer. But another employee was just behind the counter on a computer and ignored me. Not even a hello or what can I help you with. But whatever I made my decision that I wasn't coming back here anyway cause they clearly price gouge. THIS IS THE REAL KICKER. I decided to take it to an Apple Store to have it looked at instead. Took it in. They were actually able to do some sort of forced start thing and get the computer to power on. It seemed fine. They ran a diagnostic and found ZERO problems with anything. No battery issues. NOTHING. It basically just was too low on power and needed a boost to get going again and start charging. It works fine now. And Apple charged me $0. These people obviously just lie and take advantage of customers to steal your money. They tried to take around $800 from me. They are criminals.

Tried to charge my husband 800$ for a new laptop battery, seemed like a very steep price so we took it to the Apple Store in the galleria. Apparently the battery was perfectly fine as well as everything else internal. It was an external issue they fixed for free for us on the spot. This company was trying to charge 800$ for a brand new battery for absolutely no reason. And we still took a loss because we had to pay 75$ for the "diagnosis" which was all lies and wrong information. Never coming back here again. Total waste of money and full of scammers who don't know why they're talking about

Don’t waste your time if you’re going for any sort of Apple repair. The Apple site had them listed them as available for same day appointment so I trekked all the way to Burbank. I had two separate issues, one for my Macbook and one for my iPhone. For my MacBook the battery is old and dies when it’s not plugged in. It’s a super common issue with old MacBooks. The guy at the counter tells me in order to get it fixed I’d first need to do a $75 “diagnostic test”. Fun fact this is a scam and any Apple Store would never require that. I said do they do this at the Apple Store, to which he replied no. It’s clearly a scam for them to make money on a simple repair.I said ok I’ll pass on that, for my iPhone I just need to replace the back screen. Again a very common thing. He told me they would need to hold the phone for 3 days while they ordered new parts. Again this is incredibly common repair. I said ok never mind and left. What a waste of time. I went to Sherman oaks Apple Store and got both repairs done on the spot. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. JUST GO TO APPLE STORE

I think they're great! You don't have to insanity of the Apple Store, and they seem to be able to do whatever you need. Knowledgable, sweet, and you feel like there's actually time to ask questions!

They only want to sell to customers without providing any guidance on their products. When I asked the current desk employee he said he couldn’t help because everyone that knew about an AJA capture card in their shelf was at lunch so I moved on to another vendor. They used to be more helpful and knowledgeable .

I don’t really leave many reviews, but I just left MelroseMac Burbank after a repair experience and this spot is so much better than the Apple Store it’s crazy.I had a MacBook screen issue that the Apple Store quoted me $1,497 before even taking a look. Like there was no choice, they wouldn’t even open it to diagnose for less.MelroseMac charged $75 to diagnose (fair), then did a proper quote for the parts and labor. They let me choose a course of action. They ordered the part, tried it out, realized the repair was going to be a bigger, more expensive job and gave me the option to back out of the repair if I wanted to.All with no hassle, all with a lot of respect. At Apple retail the actual employees are good people, but the company clearly doesn’t wanna deal with you if you’re not here to give them money for a new device. If I had a question halfway through the repair there, there would not have been anyone to talk to. I would’ve just been dinged for more than the cost of a new computer with no choice in it at all.Even even though I ended up not getting my repair done right now, MelroseMac is where I want to come to buy new Macs/Apple devices/future repairs by default to reward the care and time they have for their customers.

They never listened to the issue I had with my laptop. Paid $75 for them to say everything was fine when there is clearly a problem. Didn't offer any sort of follow up on what could be a solution.
