Great place to visit. I am not on any team but I can tell that this is a very professional and a well developed place for any pros out there. I went on the public skate this winter and I am impressed. Great place with kind staff who are willing to help. There are also these blue seals that you can purchase for twenty dollars which help you ride easier if you are a beginner. I also recommend you buy tickets in advance so you don’t risk not getting in. There aren’t unlimited tickets as I know.

Parking is super easy here. Free lot adjacent to the rink. The rink itself can be easy to miss, though, as it's not in the same (giant) lot as the bowling and other Pickwick places nearby. The public skates can be really crowded here, and they allow teenagers to push each other around on seals, which can sometimes get out of hand. The rink is huge (yay) but the ceilings are tall (boo), so if children are screaming, it can get real echo-y.If you book a public skate ahead of time (even if it's a few minutes beforehand), you can save a few bucks on a public skate. I'd highly recommend showing up early, so you don't have to wait in a huge line and waste ice time. If you're laced up when the Zamboni finishes, you can get on the fresh ice fairly quickly at the beginning of the public skate.

First off yes is it a fun place to be? Answer is yes only when the food skaters are around. I am a good skater and every time I go to pickwick on Saturdays and Sundays, it's absolutely insane. Way to many people. Sometimes I can't even skate because of the amount of people that are at that rink. Bathrooms smell awful and overall I just don't like the place. Staff are friendly tho and I have made pretty good friends with them because I constantly go there. At the moment on the weekends, they cut the rink at the end to a pretty substantial amount of the ice which just shrinks the overall size of the rink making it feel absurd. First off let's talk about the insane $22 entrance fee! That's insane. Other rinks charge around $15 to maybe even $16. This is not ok and even if you pay online, (they only charge you $17) at the end of the day I kind of regret going here because of the amount of people. KEEP THIS IN MIND. they don't care about how fast people go. I have been hit with seals multiple times because kids just zoom in the middle of the rink. The coaches do barely nothing about itHOCKEY,pickwick quote on quote says that hockey makes more money. Yes maybe but with the price we pay I don't really think so. I just really want this rink to change and have more public skating sessions for maybe 18 and older. NOT JUST FREESTYLE. Go there experience it for yourself but I wouldn't spend my money there. Go else where

My FAVORITE ice skating rink by FAR!! Amazing coaches, pretty decent rental skates, the ice is almost always manageable. It does get a little crowded sometimes, but I would HIGHLY reccomend it for anyone who wants to ice skate, especially for the first time!

I liked my experience here. If you go 15 minutes before the public skate time, there is hardly a line. The staff were all nice and helpful. It does get a bit crowded. Buy your tickets online. When I bought them, it was 17 online, 22 at the door and 15 for the seal assistant.

Pickwick Ice was an interesting experience. No complaints whatsoever everything was great. However if it's your first time ice skating I recommend going with friends that's done it before and know how to skate because then it would be much more easier and they could teach you on the spot and give you tips/pointers, then you'd pretty much be able to skate. If you want to go with people that have never skated before that's alright too, just keep in mind that it will take a little longer for you to get a hang of it.

Facility was well maintained and looked great. Staff was helpful. The ice skate rentals were in good shape too and there is a locker available for rent for 75 cents. The main issue was their check-in process. The line is split into two sections, one for walk-in and another for prepaid. You would assume by prepaying online that you would receive faster service than people who just walk-in right? WRONG. The prepay line was so slow! They only had one person handling the prepaid line and one handling the walk-ins and the prepaid line was easily triple the length of the walk-in line. The people behind me in the prepaid line were grumbling and complaining. The issue gets worse because you have to sign up for a certain time slot to skate and by the time we got checked in and received our skates we lost almost 20 minutes of our skate time. This was my first time going here, not sure if I'll come back if it

On this particular day, the place was crazy busy. Really, it's not worth coming for public skating. If you're not lined up prior to opening you can forget about getting your money's worth. And if you prepay, your wait line will be longer. Best to walk-in. Hard pass, like being checked against the glass.

Really nice facility! Nice staff. Was able to help me with sharpening my ice skates for $17. Also helped educate on storage of my ice skates. Didn't get a chance to ice skate but would definitely come back

Go somewhere else. There's no refs! They need refs! There's no organization. Stood in the wrong line for a 10 minutes only to be told which line was which. Then people cut the line. They have no rules about older kids using the ice guides and there's only 10 for about 100+ people who showed up. It's Animal Farm and frankly a lawsuit waiting to happen for lack of safety. Just lack of human decency.

Unsafe. I was seriously injured this week on the ice and nobody from the rink seemed to care.Their public session doesn't have any sort of order or safety to it. People are skating the wrong way, teaching classes during it, racing - it's chaos on the ice.A kid was dangerously playing around - none of the guards did anything about it - and he later skated full force directly into my back, slamming me hard before I could even see him coming and I landed hard on the ice. Imagine how awful it is to be completely relaxed and hit full force from somebody from behind with no warning. The kid was fine, I sustained serious injuries to my back, neck, and hand. I wasn't sure if I needed to go to the hospital, and none of the guards really came over to check on me. The kids mother acted like it wasn't their fault. I was still in shock from the blow, and everybody seemed more interested in getting me to say that I was OK so that they could ignore me, and then actually staying with me and making sure I came out of shock. All I remember is searing pain as I was flying through the air without warning. And then I remember regaining consciousness and people trying to act like it was not their fault. NO CONCERN. My hand might be broken, NOBODY offered a refund or a word of genuine concern and everyone, including the child's mother and rink management were deflecting blame onto something else. Never have I been so disappointed in the selfish and cruel behavior of humanity.

Sometimes the ice is good, sometimes it's not, like tonight. But it's where I learned to love skating, so I will always like it here. The afternoon pubic sessions are generally not too crowded.

Love them or hate them the Kings is a great experience. Only been once but it was a blast. Great atmosphere and excellent indoor venue!
