I do not recommend this company. Notice all the positive reviews talk about Joe. Joe was a great guy: smart, great social skills, and great technician. But Joe is NOT THERE ANYMORE. The new guy is rude, a poor technician, dismissive, and a sexist. My husband and I measured my table together and the maximum width that I would need to get my wheelchair under the table. The new guy didn't believe me and said "have your husband call me back." Do not give them your business

They can't work with Medicare insurance. They were able to respond quickly which is a lot better than NUMOTION and National Seating.

I had been trying to get a custom wheelchair for my wife for a year. The company we worked with was unable to get an approval from Medicare. When we are introduced to Access Medical, we were skeptical about their ability to achieve Medicare approval. They Did! We now have a truly great chair. We appreciate the time that Michael took to adjust the chair to my wife's specific needs. We are so grateful for their kindness and excellent work and follow through.

If you like being manipulated and lied to, this is the place for you! Apparently someone named Emily used to work here. People seemed to like her and I guess she helped people get their chairs fixed, I never met Emily, but I got a $2,700+ wheelchair from here that began having problems almost immediately. Note, I never take his wheelchair outside and it is only used in my apartment. I use it *very* gently. Eileen Saenz, the senior manager for the service department, is the person who replaced Emily. She has a really nasty tone about her, and made me repeat the same repair request three different times. It took almost 6 emails to find out there was no warranty. She is a mega time waster, which is challenging when using the computer is already hard enough for me. My request was to replace the broken foot pad. and a to know what a error code referred to. Every once in a while the chair will show an error code and crash me into a wall. Eileen insists I need to bring the chair there, almost 40 miles away, for a "$100 needs assessment." What need assessment is there to get a plastic footpad replaced? What need assessment is there to find out what an error code refers to? 4 emails later she finally tells me that it's out of warranty, they don't stock parts, and offered no pricing or information on how to get the part. "There error code cannot be diagnosed without connecting this to a programmer." This is, in fact, a lie. Designed to manipulate money out of me. Error codes are references, technicians use them before beginning diagnostics, that's the *entire point* of an error code. I asked if I could pay money for the error code reference. I'm not holding my breath. The entire back-and-forth tone of these emails was combative, manipulative, and nasty. How this person got a job in customer service is beyond me. I suggest this company rehire Emily ASAP.

I'm so glad I worked with Access Medical for my WHILL C2 power chair! Chris, Josh and Emily were incredibly helpful and friendly. I will recommend contacting them through email first, the phones at the front desk are having issues!

ABOVE AND BEYOND CUSTOMER SERVICE! I've become progressively disabled, especially following a fall in April. On tv and online, I saw an autonomous 4 wheel chair that looked great. Michael Yates the Service Rep/Tech delivered it to my home in Santa Clara. He put it together and demonstrated it. I tried it once for a half block distance. Then a few days later, I tried it again. I decided that I could not use it due to my disability. I contacted Joseph Sciarra, ATP | Access Medical, Inc.Chief Operating Officer, and he arranged for Michael to pick up the chair. Then Joseph worked with me to find a mobility scooter that would suit my needs. He would have to order it because his store makes custom wheel chairs and I don't need one that fancy. He made suggestions and researched shipping times. He would have had it shipped to his store. Because the long wait times in getting the order fulfilled, he suggested that i try one of my local stores and see if they had one in stock. I will do that. He was more concerned about my well being than in making money. I was impressed by Joseph's sensitivity and caring. That goes for Emily in the office and Michael in the field. Thank you all. I turned 68 yesterday and am miserable about my future, but I will carry on. Thank you everyone at Access Medical!

This is an update only for Joseph's access medical location. It is the same company, (I have no idea how!), but a different branch. Joseph called me and helped me get squared away with the awful Anaheim location. We spent a lot of time just to be a nice guy and help me out with nothing to gain. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for wheelchair service, but DO NOT think that the other locations of access medical are run by the same people. (Anaheim and Carlsbad) Thanks Joe for all of your help.

I just bought my Whill from Access Medical, and I could not be happier about my experience. Chris A. was a huge help throughout the whole process. He let me do a test run throughout the entire parking lot, over curbs and grass, so I felt confident that the chair would work for me. Chris went above and beyond by getting the Whill delivered two weeks before I needed it for a trip, so I had a chance to get comfortable with using it before traveling with it. They don't take commission, so I trusted the suggestions Chris made for additions to the chair. I'm thrilled with all of them, especially the upgraded cushion. I absolutely recommend going to Access Medical if you are looking for a custom wheelchair in the Bay Area.

Access Medical is the best Durable Medical Equipment (DME) supplier that I have found in the Bay Area. I tried to use two other companies and after 2 years of trying was not able to get the wheelchair I desperately needed. Access Medical was able to get me my wheelchair in a matter of a few months. Special thanks to Emily and Chris A. they were very helpful, extremely friendly and responded to emails and questions RIGHT AWAY! Access Medical is the ONLY wheelchair supplier in the area that I'll recommend to my wheelchair using friends.

All of our excellent experiences with Access Medical have been unwavering. Joe and Chris are very knowledgeable and always make every effort to take care of our needs as quickly as possible. Melissa in the office takes care of all the paperwork, getting signatures as needed so that we can get what we need promptly. The whole team is very professional and we have always felt that we are important. That's excellent customer service, not just one time, but all of the time. We've had to deal with other vendors for our needs and they in no way even come close to Access Medical. We are very happy with them.

Access medical has been excellent and supporting me in my wheelchair needs. Chris and Joe came out to the house and evaluated just what I needed and quickly got the items ordered approved through insurance and then installed. They are quick to follow up and ensure that your needs are met.

Chris, Joe and Melissa are an amazing staff team of truly good people who really care!! They all really went out of their way to make sure the service was expedient and really personalized! They really care for their clients well being and their attitude and interactions are truly good natured and it's uplifting to be around them! Not to mention how fun it is to be around 'wheelchair geniuses' how fun it was to n*** out on the mechanics of these chairs, I learned so much! Thank you very much Access Medical!! I can't wait to work with you again some day! Good people in the DME world do exist so never give up because there is Access Medical! AWESOME!
