My dog started seeing Dr. Hoppe a couple of years ago when we moved to the area and she's excellent. The practice is (pleasantly) busy with professional and friendly staff who handle what could be total chaos with great organization, good spirits, and positivity. We recently had reason to see Dr. West for an urgent situation and he was excellent as well. It's such a great comfort to me to have a veterinary practice so close to home that I can rely on with confidence and know that not only is my dog going to be treated by professionals and experts, but that I am also going to be treated kindly and professionally. I greatly appreciate all the hard work that goes into making a practice successful and heartily recommend Burlingame Family Pet Hospital.

Burlingame Family Pet Hospital is great. My cats usually see Dr. West - love him! But all the vets are really nice, knowledgeable and kind. When they learned our cat Bunny had died at the Emergency Vet Clinic, they sent us a sympathy card signed by most of the staff. It was a very sweet and thoughtful gesture.

Dr. Rich is the best. We did cryptorchid surgery at Burlingame Family Pet Hospital. Dr. Rich is very professional and friendly. The price is also reasonable. We did one year check up and two vaccinations, cost less than $200. Highly recommend this place to all dog owners.

Love this vet clinic! They take great care of my little dog. Dr Hoppe is great! Staff is great. Facility is clean, and updated. My dog is elderly and she gets wonderful care there.

My dogs are frequent flyers here. The practice is super busy and sometimes they don’t answer the phone however, they do their best to squeeze you in when they can. The vets and staff are very kind. My boys have seen Dr. Hoppe, Dr. West, and Dr.Rich. All very good doctors. They always make my pugs feel at ease.

Dr. Hope examined Max even though it was a bad news. Max is not nervous when he goes to see Dr. Hope. Also, the clinic is very nice and clean. All the staff are wonderful. I really appreciate the support AND the weekend shift!!! Thank you for everything.

The doctor and staff was so helpful with us and our pets after we got stranded at San Francisco airport on out trip to the Philippines. They cared for our pets and made thier trip less stressful

Brought in my fur babies last weekend. Dr. Hopee really listened to me, as she was flying blind, because the other Vet that I left, had not sent the records over. LONG story. However, she was 100% there for the visit. Staff that I did encounter were great ! Friendly, patient, easy to talk to. I'm so happy they're open 7 days a week. It just makes it easier for me, since my week days are really hectic with all my husbands medical appointments and trying to work. I still love my old Vet, (his staff, not so much) but couldn't keep going there because of my own restraints.

Dr. Chan and her team are so kind and thorough. Every doctor we’ve seen has been great. The staff is also friendly and helpful. My sister also brings her dog in and raves about Doctor West.

I recently took my dog, Lexi, to Burlingame Family Pet Hospital, and I can't say enough good things about Dr. Dorothy Hoppe and the staff. Lexi is incredibly shy and hates going to the vet, which makes it easy to procrastinate visits. Unfortunately, I had no choice this time as I suspected she had a torn ACL. Dr. Hoppe made the experience as easy and pleasant as possible. She was patient and managed to do a full exam in one visit to avoid unnecessary stress for Lexi. Dr. Hoppe kept me informed throughout the process and called me afterward with a detailed update. The staff is always friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. Highly recommend!

My family loves Burlingame Family Pet Hospital. We've been coming here for over 13 years (with multiple dogs). We've always been happy with the services and personal attention even when we had to put our elderly dog out of here cancer-caused misery; that was really difficult for all of us but the staff made it as smooth and compassionate as possible.
Ownership changed during or post covid and we've been even happier since. They renovated the space, the practice, the tech solutions, and there are amazing new vets like Dr West who are all great. They expanded their hours which is super convenient because we'd always have urgent (but emergency) issues after hours and the local pet ERs seem to always have VERY long waits (10+ hours). If you're looking for new care for your pets, definitely consider Burlingame Family Pet Hospital!

Dr West is kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. The vet techs and front desk staff at the clinic are wonderful and a pleasure to interact with. We’re so grateful that our pet is in good health, but also know he’ll be in excellent, competent, and compassionate hands should he need more care. We don’t live close by, but are happy to make the drive to a clinic that we trust and want to support. Thank you!!
