Burlingame Public Library is a large and beautiful library with a rich history dating back to 1909. Designed in an Italian Renaissance style by architect Col. E. L. Norberg, it features three stories, including an outdoor terrace and a quiet zone. The library offers a wide range of resources for both adults and children, including periodicals, newspapers, current affairs magazines, and foreign books in languages like Spanish, French, and Chinese. Visitors can enjoy a media and tech lab with a 3D printer, huddle rooms, and comfortable lounge chairs. The main level has a children's section, teen zone, and a quiet area with tables and chairs, while the third level hosts foreign books and an outdoor patio for warmer days. The library also houses helpful staff, numerous lectures and activities for all interests, and a small cafe with reasonably priced food. Its architecture and facilities make it one of the nicest libraries in the area, well-suited for reading, studying, and community events. Overall, Burlingame Public Library is highly recommended for its resources, design, and welcoming atmosphere.
My kids and I have been coming to this library since they were babies. We love the staff, the programs, and the great book selections they have. This library is a true Burlingame treasure.
